A tired property poorly maintained. Located near the cruise port with no dining options nearby. Roosters crowing at all hours of the day and night. Bathroom area moldy, fixtures pitted and old. Breakfast was good the first day but then shut down by the health department the second day. They still offer packaged pastry, coffee, packaged oatmeal and citrus out of the yard.

There's roosters on the property... They will cockadoodledoo starting at 2am... You will not be able to sleep because it goes on all night. This ruined my entire day because it's exhausting. Would highly recommend going somewhere else. Funniest thing is that the hotel advertises "daily morning rooster was up calls" as an amenity...haha

People at Kauai Inn make me feel RIGHT AT HOME!!
I really love this place.
When I leave this inn, I miss the chickens and peacocks that come to breakfast with you, roaming around the swimming pool!
Rooms are very nice. Really feels comfortable and well taken care of. They are very generous with their toileteries, supplies as well. Beds are very comfortable.

It’s an older property but that’s its allure. It is on the site of the first hotel on the island in 1890’s and rebuilt in1950’s. The staff seems to be aware of their place in history and take pride in upholding the reputation of the grand old lady.Grounds are inviting, rooms clean, staff goes out of their way to serve you. I felt like I was visiting with the locals, Definately will come back.

Staff was incredibly friendly in the beginning, then suddenly not anymore. Weird vibes & direct booking issue. No late check-out or goodbye when checking out.

Nice outdoor area, room design and very comfortable bed. Teas, water, coffee and pastry all day. Convenient location.
Overall 330 dollars way too expensive for what it is, but I guess that’s the island prices. I was happy here overall.

Very cool, cute, laid back, thoughtful, super crazy friendly place to stay in Kauai. Wow we were only there two days but missed it when we left. Huge piece of land that they have sculptured to give everyone a place to relax or play. Pool, breakfast, live music Fridays and various old school outdoor games. Patio laterns, tiki torches and local hotel cats and Roosters are there to greet you. Close to airport and amenities.
