Lady at check-in was very nice. The room was fairly good sized as I had a king sized bed. The shower was large and I liked that it was a walk-in shower. The towels were super heavy, not the thin rough type. Bed was super comfortable! The elevators made a lot of noise and I thought any second it was just going to quit!
One problem was I asked for a quiet room. I was put on the 5th floor with my window facing the Main Street on a Friday night. So I heard all of the fast traffic, squealing tires, and sirens the majority of the night! Not much sleep to say the least! Another major issue is finding a parking place! I even had handicapped parking and it was a problem finding a spot!
A major issue I encountered on my stay was morning interruptions! Never in all the years of traveling has this happened! At 8:15AM I have a pound at my door that woke me up! I remind you I had very LITTLE sleep! It was a hotel lady wanting to know what time I would be checking out? Are you kidding me? I told her checkout was noon, so expect it around that time! I went back to bed!
Round 2! Around 11:15AM I’m in the shower and hear yet another pounding at my door! I holler and say I’m busy. Then I hear my door shut as if someone just came in my room! Really? So I get out of the shower butt naked dripping wet, open the door to see a man standing there looking at me (naked). I ask him if I can help him??? He said I’m sorry I had down this room was vacant! I said well
I can assure you it’s NOT vacant! I explained a lady had just pounded on my door at 8:15AM and I told her I would be out at noon, which it clearly was NOT noon!!! Talk about irritating! I couldn’t sleep or shower in peace! Definitely need to improve communication here among other things!
