Excellent service esp for food and accoms, a bit dated facility but very functional and otherwise kept in tip top shape. Nothing very much in vicinity but itis half board so you don’t really need a grocery run either

The Ryokan is well located around 10 minutes walk from the train station. There are shops, and convenience stores nearby. The room was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I booked a hotel that is close to Kawazu to see the cherry blossoms. The hotel is a typical Japanese hotel. There are strict time periods for checkin and checkout. There is a curfew from 23:00 to 6:00 in the evening. Dinner is at 18:00 and breakfast is at 8:00, but it will not be served to the room like the most traditional Japanese style. You will still eat on the first floor, which is more respectful of privacy and freedom. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from Kawazu Station, and there is a pick-up service, but I didn't make a reservation because I wanted to enjoy the flowers on the way. As for the service, the receptionist was really patient and gentle. Because only a few people can speak English, the female general used a translator to translate it into English for me. In the end, I helped her change it into Japanese and Chinese 👐. The hotel facilities are relatively old, but they are generally clean. The open-air bath faces the sea. It is really invincible if the weather is good, but it is not hot spring water, just an ordinary bath. I didn't use the public one so I don't know the situation. But! The hotel has a really great view, with the sea in front and cherry blossoms in the back. You can watch the sunrise in the morning. The elevator has the estimated sunrise time for each day of this month. Unfortunately, it rained on the day I stayed there, so I didn't see the sunrise and sunset. In particular, the dinner and breakfast were invincible. It rained and was windy in Hejin on the first day I arrived, so I had no choice but to stay in the hotel to watch the sea. I was really disappointed, but because the meal package was great, I enjoyed it as if I were just going on vacation. There was also a free beer in the lobby every afternoon, free ice cream after dinner, and a massage chair. It felt like feeding pigs every day. The most fortunate thing was that I stayed for one night, and the sky cleared up the next day. The cherry blossoms in Hejin were so beautiful, and it was worth the trip. In general, the price-performance ratio is slightly worse, but if the weather is good, it should be better than my experience.

The room is super big. The waiter doesn't speak Chinese but uses the translator very well. The sea is right outside. It's a little cold at the seaside in early spring, but it should be very comfortable when it's warm. The town is very small. There is an aeon, and the JR is a quick walk around. The dinner is a little small, and the breakfast is full Except for the price and being too far from Tokyo, there are basically no disadvantages

Wonderful hotel. So nice to have an open air bath tub in the room. They gave us different meals for 2 nights stay. All rooms are ocean front.

Good points: The hotel was clean and relaxing. The sea was right in front of the room, and the view was great. The food was also satisfying. Points to be improved: The humidifier was located too close to the pillow, and the electronic display was very bright, making it difficult to sleep. I would like the location and model of the humidifier to be improved.

I stayed here on a business trip. I made a reservation for a room with an open-air bath. Due to coronavirus precautions, there was no waitress, and the futons were already laid out. For now, enjoy the open-air bath. Since I didn't have a meal, I went to a nearby ********* restaurant to eat, then came back and enjoyed the open-air bath again. It's great to take a bath whenever you like. However, as others have written, I thought the stationary fishing boats offshore were suspicious. Since I was staying overnight without meals, I bought some food at a nearby supermarket and brought in some drinks. There is coffee etc. in the lobby, so I think it's nice to relax and look at the sea.

Using the Shizuoka Prefecture Citizen Discount, I was able to visit for 2 days and 1 night at a super cheap price. The sea is right in front of you (you can take a walk on the beach), the Kawazu cherry blossoms are nearby (even during the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival, I think it's more reasonable than nearby hotels), it's not far from Kawazu Station, and the price is reasonable, so it's not far away. I think it's relatively easy to visit. If you don't have any particular concerns about sightseeing in Izu, I think this is a reasonably priced accommodation.
