Enjoyed an overnight stay at this Premier Inn, situated in the centre of Kendal. Limited car parking cost £5, we also arrived early, which cost another £10 to check in before 3pm. Friendly and helpful staff, the Premier Plus room was well equipped, large screen TV, powerful walk in shower, fridge. The room was quite stuffy, and with the windows being sealed, it did make for quite an uncomfortable night. Didn't eat here, as there's so many alternatives on your doorstep.

Needed somewhere central to stay for three days so opted for Premier Inn in a Premier Plus room. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Check in was really easy. Room was clean and quiet, large and comfortable bed with lovely pillows. Good shower and toiletries provided. What we learned was not to stay at the front of the hotel near the entrance as the windows are not sound proofed so you do hear everything, including the lorries delivering and collecting stuff which was a tad annoying, but that is simple lesson learned as next time we'd ask for a room overlooking the park at the back instead. No issue with parking £5 for 24 hours and there were always spaces available (May be different over the weekend). We did not eat here, we did pop in one evening at 10pm to be told they'd already called last orders so opted for Farrers for a breakfast and coffee and The Fleece for brunch, dinner & drinks - both of which I would highly recommend.

Very nice stay in Kendal. This was our second stay here. Our room was clean and tidy. We requested additional pillows and these were swiftly brought to us.Breakfast was very good. We ate out for our other meals. We came during school holidays and got some great advice from Christine in reception about what to do and where to eat in the Lakes and Kendal. We visited Windermere and Ambleside. We had the car but were advised of decent bus service from nearby bus station. We went up the castle (bit muddy🤣) and we also went to the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.

Overall, it was a very nice stay for just a few days. It was clean, comfy, and the staff were very kind and helpful. There was a little muck up with early check in, where we got given a wrong room and had to wait 10-20 mins, but it was sorted as quickly as possible, and the staff was very apologetic. If I had stayed longer than two nights, I think I would have had to complain though. As the room above me had constant banging, so I'm not sure if it was a family with several kids running around. But as I was only staying for a short amount of time, I just ****** it up and dealt with it. But I'm sure if I did complain about the noise, the staff would have sorted it for sure!

The hotel itself is pleasant enough. It's quiet and pretty standard for this kind of chain hotel. TV in the room didn't work and the reception staff in the morning were unapologetic, the woman on reception just said there was a problem with the signal. Honestly I wouldn't have stayed there if I knew beforehand. Paying for what was supposed to be a premium room and then the facilities not being up to scratch was extremely annoying.

December 2023 I cancelled the booking as I found somewhere equally as good, but much cheaper. We visit Kendal around 6 times a year with a number of friends. We always stayed at the Premier Inn. Everything about it has always been fine, staff, rooms, cleanliness and breakfast, especially close to the venue we visit for regular charitable functions. However it has upped its prices and has effectively priced itself out of our market. It is after all a chain hotel, fine for an overnight stay, but not 4 star accommodation. Look around, there are cheaper and in my opinion, better value places to stay, as my friends and I have discovered.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and tidy room. The breakfast was very good and the staff were kind and easily approachable. I would recommend this premier inn to a friend because of the location of the hotel being surrounded by natural beauty.

We have stayed in many Premier inns. On this trip this was our third premier inn and the staff here deserve a mention, in particular Beth, Rose, Louise at breakfast service. They were so efficient and extremely good at their jobs. Also very welcoming and friendly. Great service from them all.

Premier Inns are so reliable and you always know what to expect. This was no different, the standard rooms with all the expected amenities, friendly and helpful staff, and nice basic meals. The location in kendal is perfect as a based and the town was lovely. The car park for the hotel gets very busy, so be warned, as does the restaurant, but all the staff do their best to accommodate everyone and as super nice. Would definitely recommend if visiting.
