The hotel is family-run and named after the hostess's mother. During our three-day, two-night stay, we were deeply impressed by their warm and attentive hospitality.
There were many things we liked. First, the hotel's location in the northwest corner of Khiva's old city is quiet, yet within a few minutes' walk of various attractions.
Regarding the accommodations, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bedding and bathroom amenities were very comfortable. The hairdryer was especially excellent, the best we experienced in Uzbekistan – being able to quickly shower and dry our hair after sightseeing was crucial!
Furthermore, while the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, each meal was prepared with care and attention. We were very satisfied with every meal.
On the downside, it must be mentioned that construction was underway at the neighbor's house when we checked in, which slightly affected the view from the terrace.
Overall, however, I would recommend the hotel if you're visiting Khiva.
