Tui Blue Khao Lak Resort

Very good service staff,comfortable rooms, fully equipped gym. Breakfast is a la carte, nothing special. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful, clean, able to swim.

Excellent hotel with fantastic amenities, great ambiance, amazing food & beautiful beach Rooms clean and large, massive bed with cool white sheets. We had a swim up room, no sun on the deck of our room but plenty of beds around the grounds, always some free. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were here and they went to so much trouble for us and made our day a really pleasure. Thank you all so much we shall be back.

Having one last look at the beautiful beach at the Tui Blue Khao Lak Resort from the beach bar high tide as it’s also a full moon waiting for our transfer to airport . Great location with shops and restaurants a short walk away The Golden Elephant being our favorite restaurant. Pam’s was amazing too and had to book via messenger 2 days in advance. Reception can organise trips and we had a private half day taxi to a local Temple Elephant home and White Sands beach for lunch all not long distance. We did a day to three Temples with lunch stop included and another day Emerald Pool and to a man made lake going across to a cave with lunch in a floating restaurant including swim stops on a long tail boat . Bangniang Market well worth a trip with lots of goodies and food stalls opposite a must the Tsunami Memorial Museum . Going back to the resort it was lovely nothing to complain about with beach and 5 pools to choose from Adults only ATM .

Just come back from this hotel. Absolutely faultless. All The staff are amazing and want to make your holiday the best it can be. Our room was on 3rd floor facing 3 of the 5 pools. It had a massive bed, large fridge, walk in shower and separate loo. Large wardrobe with lots of hangers. Pools are all clean and plenty of sunbeds. Never needed to get up to reserve one. Only issue was sunbeds on beach where it was impossible to get one unless you were up at 7 and sat in it all day! We were half board. Food was the best we have had anywhere with a massive choice and all piping hot. Special mention to the restaurant manager James who always came and chatted to everyone and everything was so organised. The view from the restaurant was incredible, right on the beach with far reaching views. Beach in front of hotel was small with a few rocks but plenty of large beaches in either direction. Khao Lak is a huge resort with a main road running through. We were glad to be half board and not going out every night as it was a good 10 minute walk to most of the restaurants. We did however have a meal at the Gold elephant opposite which was superb. We did one TUI trip to see elephants and bamboo rafting which was amazing. Coconut beach is a must too. To summarise we had an amazing holiday and cannot fault our experience at this hotel.

We booked a room for two weeks through TUI Finland and sent an email to the hotel where we told them that we would prefer to stay near the beach because it and the warm sea water are important to us. At the same time, we just mentioned that we had just celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. When we got to the hotel, our room was as close to the sea as you could get for that type of room. The bed was decorated according to the anniversary, the bathtub was filled with water and flowers, flowers and fruit basket in the room. We were also offered a bottle but we didn't use it because we don't drink alcoholic beverages. But we really appreciate how the hotel planned and spent time to make our stay as nice as possible even before we got there, and everything they did for us while we were there. This is how we experienced the hotel in more detail: The hotel area is quiet with beautiful nature, but still within walking distance both from the center of Khao Lak and the nature trail in Khao Lak - Lam Ru National Park (5/5). The beach is very good. Thanks to some small rock formations a bit out in the water, there are almost never so high waves at the beach that it would prevent someone from going into the water. The bottom is firm but soft sand. We swam in the warm sea water for three hours every day (5/5). The beach and sea were so nice that we never tried swimming in the pools. There are sunbeds down by the beach and by the pools. We always found free seats when we got to the beach after the morning meal. The sunbeds at the beach are in the shade of trees, at the pools you can choose a chair by a parasol or in direct sun (5/5). Everyone in the staff, from reception, restaurant, cleaning staff to those who looked after outdoor areas were friendly and we received the best possible service (5/5). Our room (3534) was as described a garden view room but in addition to the view of trees, plantings and the pond where the lizards thrived, we also had a partial view of the sea 30 meters from our balcony. (5/5). The balcony was suitably large with a table and two comfortable chairs. Unfortunately, there is also a negative thing about the balconies. It is allowed to smoke on them and if the wind is unsuitable, you get all the smoke from the neighbor's balcony to your own, because the dividing wall between the balconies does not go all the way up. We were lucky. For the first 10 days, no neighbor smoked. Next came a chain-smoking neighbor. Two evenings the wind came from wrong direction and it was impossible to enjoy out on the balcony. For our part, the evaluation of the balcony is 4/5 but it can vary from 0-5/5 depending on who has the balcony next to it. Since there are many houses that each have 15 rooms, it would be entirely possible to have separate houses for smokers, or alternatively make the partition wall between the balconies complete up to the roof, for example with plexiglass.
