Old Weir Lodge

Fantastic accommodation 10mins walk from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful, offering to book our boat ride to the Gap of Dunloe to save us needing cash for the booking. They also offer a same day laundry service for €26 a bag which was much needed! Lastly the breakfast options are excellent and all round exceptional value for money. We loved our stay there

Old Weir Lodge significantly exceeded our expectations! From the from desk to the dining room, the staff were more helpful and kind than some of our own family. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was fantastic and the lodge was a short 10 min stroll to the city center. Quit scrolling and book Old Weir Lodge. You will not be disappointed, and it is an exceptional value for the money.

Not having visited Killarney for many years we originally chose the Old Weir Lodge because of it's location - halfway between Killarney town and the INEC, a 10 minute walk to either location. The moment we arrived we realised that we had located a little gem - from the extremely friendly and helpful staff, the best breakfasts in Kerry and the little touches in the rooms/bar/lounge. Our 3-night stay was one of the best breaks we have ever had and it won't be long before we're back. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Old Weir Lodge to any visitors to Killarney.

The staff are really kind and helpful, always ready to give recommendations for activities in the area. The room was great, spacious with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. And the breakfasts.... delicious! Lovely continental breakfast, or hot breakfasts to order. Again, the staff were adorable. And the Killarney area is definately not to be missed! Really beautiful. Thank you County Kerry and Old Weir Lodge for making our stay one of the best holidays in ages.

The BEST B&B we have ever stayed at. The room was very spacious for our family of 4, the room and hotel was quiet yet was very family friendly. The breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. There was a hot breakfast option with fluffy waffles, hearty Irish breakfast, eggs, etc. and fresh cold cereal, meats, bread, fruit, etc. with delicious hot chocolate for our kids. The women who served breakfast, especially Mora, were the most welcoming and friendly each morning. The front desk had the best local insight and set up som great reservations for us. The B&B was a quick 10 min walk to the downtown area or a leisurely walk next to beautiful greenery on the way to the national park. This was in the best location for literally everything we wanted to do in Killarney. I absolutely cannot wait to go back to Killarney and stay in this amazing, family-owned B&B. When we were leaving, my daughter forgot her beloved sheep and they even took the time to send it back to us (along with a sweet Irish treat). We are forever grateful to stay at such an amazing place!!

Very clean hotel. The room & the welcome were warm. Room was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. I highly recommend the breakfast. I missed breakfast one morning & the staff kindly gave me cereal, tea etc. Staff were wonderful, very helpful and professesional. Secure - night porter, and safe box in the room. Go there.

It totally deserves the five stars! We had a great time at the Lodge. Breakfast was ample and they even accommodated my lactose intolerance and gluten free needs. That was not expected! Super nice and qualified staff. I could have stayed there a lot longer. Laundry service was amazing - same day. We just dropped it off in the morning at the reception and it was washed and folded by 7pm the same day. Thanks for five wonderful days!

Overall, my stay here was just fine. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was pretty good (but could use a few more choices), and the location was a 10 minute walk from the main street of Killarney. The bed was comfortable and the amenities provided were just fine. However, I don't really feel like the pictures of the rooms (and especially bathrooms) online matched what I actually got. My bathroom was basically a closet. There was a slanted ceiling above the toilet, so you had to watch your head as you stood to use the bathroom. The room itself just didn't seem as fancy as some of the pictures implied. There was nothing wrong with the room in terms of cleanliness, I just felt like I received the worst room in the inn based on pictures. It was also at the top of the stairs, and by the lift so you heard a lot of foot traffic certain times of the day. I would still stay here again though. It was a good base to explore Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, and the Dingle Peninsula.

Beautiful inn a short walk to the center but very quiet and comfortable. We loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here while visiting Killarney. The inn is welcoming, comfortable , and filled with old world charm. Our room was immaculate with plenty of space and all the amenities we needed. The staff was very helpful and friendly with perfect suggestions for dining and local activities. We are so grateful we found this perfect property and hope to someday return. Thank you for the truly perfect stay!!!
