We had originally booked the villa with private pool, which turned out to be a jacuzzi. Immediately we found the room to be a bit gloomy and it didn’t have a particularly nice view so we asked to move to one of the water cottages, which they did. The water cottages are lovely, great views and small balcony to watch the amazing wild life. Pool area is lovely, but some of the sunbeds could do with replacing. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient, but I think they could offer slightly more options, provide juice and offer more than one cup of coffee or tea. Dinner was ok for the price and there was plenty of it, but there was no choice, you were given what they cooked. There are two restaurants a 5minute walk which offer alternatives. The redeeming feature of the place though is the family who run it, they are absolutely adorable and will go out of their way to help, they arranged all our trips for us. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and helpful, would definitely go back if we are ever in Sri Lanka again
