"The guest rooms are very distinctive, the children especially like them, they are very novel, and the supporting facilities are relatively complete, cost-effective, and the swimming pool is also quite good. The children have a lot of fun. The surrounding natural environment is also well preserved. There are often some small animals running around, and the children can watch ants moving, geckos catching mosquitoes, chameleons changing colors, mimosas, etc. The children are very focused. It's a pity that the vacation was too short and we only stayed in Shizi Rock for one day."

"The eighth wonder resort is a fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Sigiriya. It’s close to Sigiriya rock and Pidurangala. Dambulla is also very close as well as Sigiriya city where there are loads of places to eat and drink. You can also find plenty of places in the city which run safaris into the national parks. Therefore it is an ideal location, we ticked off so many activities and place in just a four day stay because the resort made a great hub. The hotel itself was also beautiful, the room was very clean and the pool was a nice touch at the end of a long day in the sun. The breakfast in the morning was very good, a mix of fruit and cooked food which always set us up well for the day. Mahinda and his wife were very accommodating, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I would strongly recommend to anyone who is visiting Sigiriya or the surrounding areas. James & Olivia"

"Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere so you can’t walk out. Nice pool and restaurant but room, albeit large had a bad sewage smell in the bathroom (room 902). It was reported but didn’t remedy it. The hotel is Ideal for an evening’s relaxing after sightseeing. We’re not impressed with the room service person who was actually hassling us in the evening. Constantly ringing the bell asking if we want water/towels. Well no, we don’t, you’ve already cleaned our room and left water and towels. He came here the last 2 nights and we tipped him. Perhaps we shouldn’t have as he’s now become a nuisance ringing twice tonight on our door despite the first time me telling him we didn’t need anything. He’s now come back and asked can I come in? I told him no and closed the door. Sorry we don’t want to be hassled like this on holiday. We want to relax if we need anything we’ll ask. This has put us off returning here."
