Typical basic accommodation. It can be a bit noisy outside, especially on weekends. Nevertheless, it offers easy access to Heathrow and is conveniently located near many amenities, including the historic Kingston Market. The staff were very helpful, and I truly appreciated their kindness and assistance. It would be even better if the rooms had air conditioning.

I was visiting relatives that are in and around London, together with a bit of sightseeing. As such the hotel was a very good fit. 5 minutes from the train station and bus station meant I could easily get to where I wanted to be. The room was quite basic, bathroom, bed, closet, kettle and fan but perfect for my needs, somewhere to sleep and the odd cuppa. The bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel can be a bit noisy, there is a games arcade right next to the hotel, but that doesn't bother me. The staff were excellent, helpful when needed but not obtrusive. If you need a base for touristy stuff, at a reasonable price (for London), I would highly recommend it.

This is a typical budget hotel in the UK, affordable, and there's really nothing to complain about. The front desk staff were very friendly. There's an arcade next door, and a lot of people smoke right outside the hotel entrance, which was a bit of an inconvenience when coming and going.

The water in the bathroom is too small to take a shower.

Although this Green House Hotel is said to be in London, it takes about 20 minutes to get there, and the environment inside this hotel is very Qingqiu. I arrived at night because it was the Easter holiday and there were many people renting the hotel. Those young people kept the scorching sun in the room and it was very noisy. It can be said that the sound insulation was very poor all night. There were no big problems except that the floor was relatively thin and it was easy to hear the sounds from upstairs and downstairs.

Comfortable, clean and tidy

I am very pleased with my stay at the Kingston upon Thames Travelodge. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the staff are very polite and always helpful—especially Nida, the receptionist; she is very kind, always ready to assist, offers advice and explanations when needed, and always has a smile on her face.

The location is central Kingston however, it is very close to a nightclub, and therefore on Friday and Saturday nights, it can be very noisy into the early hours. The hotel itself was relatively clean and basic but very good value. There is no breakfast available other than an optional paid “to go” box. The room was clean although the sink wasn’t quite well attached tipped if you lean on it and there is no air-conditioning so it was very warm without the window being open, which was then a trade-off between suffocating or putting up with the noise from outside. The staff for pleasant and helpful and so in summary, it’s a good budget option, but not at the weekend :-)

The good thing is the location. It is very central and close to the train and bus station. It was a Saturday night so it might not always be like so noisy but from 2.30am- 5.30am there were loads of people outside: drinking, shouting and screaming and it was awful. There was no air con so we had the window open for fresh and cool air but it was too noisy. You get 30 minutes of free WiFi which I think is very mean for the price. We won’t be staying here again.

Stayed for four nights while we were visiting family in various locations around Surrey. The staff are very helpful and always on hand. The room was a perfect size for what we needed and was clean and tidy. Will be staying again.

I paid £350 for two nights at Travelodge Kingston, and I am absolutely appalled by the standard of the room. For that amount of money, I expected a clean, comfortable stay, but instead I was met with issue after issue. The TV didn’t work, the windows wouldn’t open, the shower pressure was extremely poor, and the bathroom was covered in limescale. To make matters worse, one of the towels appeared to have what looked like a faecal stain on it, which is completely unacceptable in any hotel. I’ve attached photos showing the heavy limescale on the bathroom fittings and the stained towel. When I raised my concerns with a member of staff, I was simply told, “You get what you pay for.” I found that response incredibly rude and dismissive, especially after paying £350 for just two nights. I would like a response from Travelodge explaining how this level of cleanliness, maintenance and customer service is considered acceptable. I certainly won’t be returning unless these issues are properly addressed.
