Hai Yuan Zi B&B Reviews

This was by far the most comfortable experience in Kinmen! Hai Yuan Zi isn't just by the sea, but also super close to Kinmen Bridge, so we enjoyed the bridge's light show every night from the comfort of our room. Getting to Jincheng Township was also a breeze. I especially loved how spacious the room was; every single item, from the floor tiles to the lights, mirrors, and even the bathroom wall tiles, showcased the owner's impeccable taste and thoughtfulness. Plus, laundry was so convenient with a large drying area. It really felt like a hotel in terms of quality, but with the warm, personal touch of a B&B. Thank you, Hai Yuan Zi, for a wonderful vacation! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the breakfast! They offer local specialties, and I chose the Cantonese congee. It was even better than Yongchun, with a fragrant shallot oil and what I believe were the best fried dough sticks from Heji. A truly heavenly combination! Another unique find was the brown sugar steamed bun—I'd seen influencers rave about it but never found it until now. They also provide fresh fruit and drinks, and as someone who needs coffee every morning, having freshly brewed coffee was pure bliss. I felt so spoiled!

The B&B and breakfast were both excellent! Nothing needs improving! A highly recommended guesthouse! The sunset was also beautiful! Listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying the night view of the cross-sea bridge was amazing!

The hotel has a very nice view and staffs are very friendly and helpful.

The environment is comfortable and very clean. The biggest surprise was that there wasn't a single mosquito. The mattress was just right, not too soft and not too hard. The host was incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic! I highly recommend the sesame oil noodles!

I'll definitely come back to this place next time.

Room was clean, workers were very friendly.

The room is huge, and the balcony and bathroom both have sea views. Be sure to close the balcony door at night, as there may be small animals (mosquitoes, lizards). There is parking for motorcycles outside. Breakfast has a fixed menu, and the brown sugar steamed buns are delicious.

Pros: Unbeatable views, delicious breakfast, and courteous staff. Cons: 1. The elevator was broken, and the room floor was covered in unknown footprints upon entering; the room air conditioning was unstable (other than the air conditioning, the problem was resolved quickly). 2. Flies were buzzing around in the breakfast area, and there were spiders in the room.

I checked into room 402, a sea-view room...and the view was truly amazing. The only downside was the breakfast; there were no Western options, only Chinese food, but the flavors were very authentic.

This is not a fake review!!! Haiyuanzi Guesthouse is conveniently located in the city center, just 2-3 kilometers by bike. It's close to the beach, offering a quiet environment at night, perfect for those who appreciate tranquility. Our room had a large terrace, which was incredibly comfortable. In the morning, we could see the sunrise and hear the waves from the terrace; in the evening, we could enjoy the sunset and feel the gentle sea breeze. This was especially satisfying. There's also a running track by the sea, where you can often see people jogging or exercising. Please note that rooms with terraces are quite popular during holidays or peak seasons, so it's recommended to book 2-3 days or at least a week in advance to avoid missing out.

They're charging 200 yuan for checking out an hour late, even though I need to check out at 11 am!

The service staff is friendly, the environment is comfortable, and there are many places to take photos. It is worth staying for one night.
