I stayed for 3 nights to explore the area and visit various places nearby. The room was excellent and clean . The showers were really good too. The facilities were top rate. The evening menu was lovely and the breakfast was superb. Most of all every single person working was incredibly polite and efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I was recommended by a friend and it exceeded my expectations. A lovely place I will deffinatly be going to again

Comfortable and modern. Every facility you could wish for in the room. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and professional staff. Rooms off of a beautiful central garden. Delicious and generous freshly cooked breakfast in the morning.

I just spent the weekend Inkpen and visited the Inkpen coffee shop part of the Crown & Garter, for a coffee during a Sunday morning walk with the dogs. What a lovely place! There was a super friendly young person serving, I think she said she was called Lottie and is new to the area. She made us feel very welcome and served great coffee! The place is dog friendly too. Also lots of good outside seating. I’ll be back!

We stayed a single night and only booked 48hrs before as it was just a last minute getaway. The staff were very friendly and our evening meal was great followed up the next morning by a good breakfast. The room was clean, warm and well presented and to be honest we couldn't asked for more. We'll be staying again when we are in the area again!

Great food, attentive service and a lovely setting. Highly recommended. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area. The steak and the fish of the day were both amazing and the puddings were very well received by the girls. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese board.

Thank you so much Patrick and team for such a wonderful NYE party - music and dancing and lots of fun with the locals and people staying in the hotel rooms. There was a real sense of community and just how a village pub should be! Thank you to yourself, Luke, Grace and team for giving up your New Year’s Eve and working so hard! Happy New Year - looking forward to many more fun events in 2024.. x

Sad to see that Peroni beer has been taken off, leaving no real alternative!! Any chance this will be reverted at some point? Would probably come back more often if yes! Was very happy in the past with the Peroni lager beer on draught, and find the Asahi to be not to my taste.

What a fantastic stay. The team who worked on the 3rd Nov (especially Luke) and the team that did breakfasts on the 4th (think it was Alanna but lost the bit of paper) could not have done more to help and look after us to make sure 10 of us had the most fabulous stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and offer fabulous toiletries and nice touches like bottled water and a good selection of tea bags. The lunch was fabulous and we got amazing service at all times. The pub has a fantastic vibe - family and dog friendly too.
