Selella Resort

Sella resort is a nice boutique hotel that I have booked several times and I have never been disappointed.

What I liked: • The room was clean and visually appealing at first glance, with nice décor and a comfortable bed. • The lakeside setting is peaceful and scenic — perfect for relaxing. What needs improvement: • The room was quite small and tight, making it hard to move around comfortably. • The TV was difficult to operate and not user-friendly at all. • Hot water took a long time to come through, which was frustrating. • The main door was very hard to close, and on more than one occasion I found it left slightly open — a potential security concern. • Breakfast was disappointing: it was cold, had limited variety, and didn’t feel fresh. • Overall, the room and facilities didn’t match the price point — it felt overpriced for what was offered. Selella has potential, especially given its beautiful location, but a lot needs to be improved in terms of service, room functionality, and value for money before I’d consider returning or recommending it.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The only setback is the bathroom which is toilet and shower combo. The instant shower is also not easy to get used to.

Nice Boutique hotel in the city of Kisumu. Modern, clean rooms and some rooms have lake view! Uncomplicated and very helpful staff - especially Loveta who helped me so much to move to a room less noisy from a club nearby!

First day we didnt have AC in the room, it was a bit hot... then the following day they moved us to another room but the there was construction on that side... it was really noisy
