Beautiful, park like grounds with spacious, lovely rooms. But the area where it was located was not very nice, the food was not very good and it took an hour to arrive at the table (although the staff were very nice)

My wife and I hooked up to the top of Maragoli Hill with our guide, Tom Calvince, the week of July 6, 2025. Round trip was about 9 miles and took about 4 hours with 30 minutes at the top (about 5,900 feet). 1,600 feet elevation gain. Tom took his time to ensure we are safe and paused whenever we needed to catch our breath. Great experience and amazing views of kisumu and it's surroundings!

Ciala resort has the best customer service The staff were courteous,helpful,attentive and ready to help It was my first time here and would definitely come back again. I was just here for a night but looking forward to a longer stay. The rooms were well lit,comfortable, clean and stocked with essentials Special mention to Molly,Vincent ,Phylis and Tom .Atleast those are the names I managed to memorise The hr did score a perfect one with these ones. Keep it up ciala team. You have exceeded my expectations.

We did the Maragoli hills hike, Tom was our guide. It was a beautiful hike, definitely not for the inexperienced hikers. Tom was amazing and made us feel taken care of and safe. Absolutely loved it!

The experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. A stay at Ciala Resort is one of the best experiences. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. Many thanks to Pauline and Peter.

Pleasant surprise! We had booked a hotel in Vihiga but upon arrival we were disappointed and decided to relocate to kisumu. We found the hotel and decided to stay there, the rooms, ambiance of the hotel, facilities including the hosts were really great. We didn’t have enough time to spend at the hotel but we made the best of the time we stayed in Ciala. It is located very near Kisumu and the airport hence, convenient and value for money.
