Toyoko Inn Kokura-Eki Kita-Guchi

Toyoko Inn is the tallest building on the shores of Kanmon Strait. As soon as I entered, I saw the sea view from the window, and the mountain opposite seemed to be Honshu Island. What a luxurious sea view room! The bathroom was very spacious. The only downside is that it's a ten-minute walk from Kokura Station, which was a bit tough on a hot day, but such a sea view is totally worth it. Thumbs up!

I've stayed at Toyoko Inn many times. It's convenient, efficient, and not far from the subway exit. The rooms are compact but have everything you need, and they're clean and tidy. The breakfast is also quite substantial.

This 'sea view room' is budget-friendly and convenient. Check-in is self-service, and the lobby offers complimentary toiletries and skincare products, along with a water dispenser and lockers. It's just a few minutes' walk from Kokura Station, and super close to the venue if you're attending a concert. The breakfast selection is quite varied and nutritious, and you can enjoy it with a sea view or take it back to your room. The front desk staff are all very friendly and lovely. If I had to mention any downsides, the curtains don't block out light very well. Also, being close to the coastal road, the sound of passing cars can be a bit noisy, which sometimes leads to an early wake-up. Overall, it's a great place with excellent value for money and very female-friendly.

This was my first time staying at a Toyoko Inn, and this particular one is very new. It's not too far from Kokura Station, about a 5-10 minute walk, right by the port on the north side, and very close to the Kokura Manga Museum! I was given a room on the top floor with an excellent view. The room was quite spacious, the bed was large, and it was very clean. Breakfast is complimentary and pretty good. The breakfast area offers an unbeatable ocean view, so enjoying breakfast while gazing at the sea was truly a treat! Hotels in Fukuoka can be quite expensive, so for a weekend, you might consider staying in Kokura. Transportation is very convenient, and you can find tax-free Montbell items and easily pick up Nunu Chicken. Plus, there's no queue for Shinshin Ramen here!

The room was clean and a decent size. The window offered a nice ocean view. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Kokura Station, and free parking is available.

Built around 2020, this is a large hotel with over 100 rooms, and they are very clean. It's also conveniently located near Kokura Station. The free breakfast with a sea view is fantastic. I'll definitely come back again!

It's a bit of a walk from Kokura Station, and while it's by the sea, it's not near the shopping street, which makes carrying purchases back a hassle. The facilities are brand new, with an ice machine and laundry room available. The room itself is also larger than typical Japanese business hotels.

We booked a triple room with an extra bed, which was quite spacious for Japan. Rooms on the road-facing side offer sea views, but it can get noisy at night with motorcycle gangs. The Japanese breakfast was excellent, and the room rate wasn't expensive, making it great value for money.
