Shanggu Shidai, an old residence built in 1803 (the 8th year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty), has now been converted into Shanggu House Homestay. It is one of the relatively well-preserved old residences in the ancient town. This house is a two-story all-wooden quadrangle with a front yard and a back yard. The mottled stone slabs, carved window lattices, and the simple blue bricks and black tiles all whisper the story of a hundred years. Of course, there is a certain deficiency in sound insulation. If you mind, please be cautious when shooting. The wind that blows is all culture, the ground that steps on is all history, everything seen is beautiful, and everything done is not in vain of youth. The homestay is located in the core scenic area, with convenient transportation. The decoration and configuration are of high standards. The whole room is furnished with solid wood furniture, Mousse mattresses and smart toilets. 24-hour hot water, full Wifi coverage, an independent tea room and a semi-mountain tea room in the backyard. The tea room displays old items that are relatively well-preserved at home for visitors to explore. The backyard offers a leisure terrace and free tea. The layout of each room in the homestay is simple and elegant Chinese style. Let every resident feel as if they were traveling through time. Our original intention is to enable every guest to experience the rich heritage of Chinese history, star-level service and the feeling of coming home. Visit the ancient town and stay in an old house.
"It has been a week since I left the Shanggu House, but this ancient and warm Qing Dynasty residence still occupies a place in memory. Before leaving, I told the boss that this is not one of the best homestays I have ever stayed in. It is never to coax the boss to be happy. Even the children returning to life in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai have spared no effort to recommend this Xiangxi ”home” to her partner. I think we will come back.
In the small red book, I accidentally brushed to Shanggu, and I booked it in Trip.com within ten minutes. I was embarrassed to say my heart. Especially when I communicated with the boss by phone, I learned that ”Bailu” is generally for one person to live, and we are a family of three, but the night that accompanied the breeze of the border city was worth sleeping together.
Walking into the valley, there are surprises everywhere, it is the elderly to tell the child the real appearance of the traditional residential house, is the hostess carefully arranged every corner reveals the enthusiasm for life, the red horse lantern has been spinning, looking up to see the happy water brick wall engraved with traces of years. I especially like the door locks and keys of the room, and wait for the next passenger to open the blind box to see the moisturizing taste that modern security facilities do not have. The backyard is a children's paradise. The swings and hanging chairs have been swaying leisurely. The bamboo chairs and fan will be squeaking. The fragrant dumpling trees are within reach. The ancient city is endless cloud feet and the galaxy. Now on the slope, I look at the elegant room on the second floor with envy. I hate that I didn't book the upper room there, and leave all my expectations to the next time. Shanggu is a treasure hall of folk culture. Although the boss smiles and doesn't say anything, the full cultural relics can't fool everyone's eyes.
Unforgettable to travel with several guests in Guangxi, the group is the boss. Just stayed, the boss knocked door to door, saying that it was to take us to familiarize ourselves first. A group of people, men, women, young and old, south and north, haha. The boss enthusiastically said about the local specialties, told allusions and anecdotes that outsiders could not understand, and also packed tickets to give us a dividend-Laradu cut in the queue! In this place at the junction of the three provinces, the Qingshui River is clear and green, and the people's hearts are smart and warm under Shen Congwen. Going back late at night, the boss waited for us on the roadside at the door of the house, and the house also kept the lights, very at ease! Not to mention that the proprietress is busy cutting watermelon and bringing mung bean soup. This is the home on the road.
One facial cleanser left at home, leave it to the family who need it, we will go back to see."
