"Atlantis Sanya was absolutely fantastic! I honestly didn't have high expectations for the service, given how many people would be there. Even the taxi driver warned me about the crowds and potential service delays, which made me regret booking such a popular hotel. But as soon as we pulled up, a young man immediately came to open our car door and help with our luggage from the trunk. I was so grateful! I thought, 'Okay, service isn't bad after all.' He didn't even let us lift a finger, pulling our two large suitcases all the way to the luggage drop-off. He thoughtfully told us to keep our luggage tag safe before heading to check-in. After check-in, the staff kindly suggested we could go explore, and they'd clean our room as quickly as possible for us to settle in. Since hotels usually have a 3 PM check-in time and we arrived at 11:30 AM, I just nodded, figuring I still had a few hours to wait. I took the kids to the waterpark first. Before I even finished changing, our butler, 'Little Crab,' added me on WeChat and enthusiastically told me to contact her directly if I needed anything. I thought, 'What could I possibly need?' Besides, based on my experience at another hotel (Yalong Bay HUALUXE), even if I had an issue, the butler there couldn't really help. Then, at precisely 12:28 PM, I received a text message: 'Dear valued guest, your room is ready. Please pick up your room key at the front desk at your convenience. Enjoy your stay.' Wow, I was genuinely touched! Let me explain why: when I stayed at the Yalong Bay HUALUXE, I asked the butler if we could check in an hour or even half an hour early so my younger daughter could rest. The staff kept saying no rooms were available or clean. There was nothing I could do because the website clearly stated 3 PM check-in, but my little one was so tired from the journey that she ended up falling asleep on me in the HUALUXE lobby. So, Atlantis Sanya's efficiency deeply impressed me. My younger daughter played at the waterpark until 2:30 PM, and it was perfect timing to go to the room for a quick nap, which completely re-energized her. Later, I didn't even have to ask, but Little Crab thoughtfully informed me that the drinks, coffee, fruit, and water in the room were all complimentary. That evening, my younger daughter wanted to take a bath, and I was worried about the cleanliness of the tub, so I asked the butler if they had any sanitizing wipes. She immediately responded, saying she could send staff up to clean it for me. Not only did they sanitize it, but they also brought a bath liner—so thoughtful! The next morning, we went to the G floor for breakfast. Because it was so crowded, the staff at the restaurant entrance suggested going to the 18th floor if we didn't want to wait. I asked if the food was the same upstairs and downstairs, and the server said there wasn't much difference. So, I went to the 18th floor, only to find a meager selection of food, nothing like what I'd seen on the first floor. I casually mentioned my regret to the butler, saying I shouldn't have come up and should have waited. To my surprise, the butler immediately had her colleague escort me from the 18th-floor restaurant back down to the first floor to dine. I was a bit embarrassed! This trip to Atlantis Sanya completely overshadowed my previous stay at Yalong Bay HUALUXE. I have to say, it was truly amazing. My kids and I loved it, and we definitely want to stay here again. A big thank you to Little Crab, our butler, for making this trip so special."

"Overall, it was decent. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are spacious, so it's a trade-off. Seeing that we had a child with us, they upgraded us to a suite. The room was very large, but on a lower floor. Pros: First, the room truly was big, and with a suite, the smaller room was separate, so it didn't disturb the people in the main room. Second, the sea view was quite nice, perfect for watching both the sunrise and sunset. Cons: First, the room was really old. Normally, a room of this building's age shouldn't be so run-down. The washing machine, light switches and sockets, and baseboards all had mildew spots. Second, the signal in the smaller room was very poor, and the air was stuffy. Third, the curtains in the main room offered no blackout at all. And since it was a large floor-to-ceiling window for the sea view, I wanted to sleep in the next day but was woken up by the sunlight early in the morning. Breakfast deserves a separate mention. It's a shared buffet restaurant with the neighboring Belmont. The hotel is newer, the food selection is rich, the environment is great, and the price isn't expensive. This was initially a plus, but on the second day, I found the corn kernels in the salad were rotten. At first, I didn't realize it was the corn, only after eating some did I find out. When I told the staff, they immediately removed the corn kernels. I didn't make a big deal out of it at the time, and since I checked out before noon, I didn't bother the hotel further. However, I started having stomach pain and an upset stomach that afternoon. It must have been from the bad corn kernels. I bought medicine myself and it took 2 days to recover. I hope the hotel chefs pay more attention to quality control."

"My first impression was excellent. As soon as we arrived, before I could even gather myself, a friendly 'Northeastern big brother' from the lobby had already taken our luggage. This was a stark contrast to our previous stay at the Sofitel Haikou, where we were told there were three people in the lobby but saw no one upon arrival – a really bad experience. This 'Northeastern big brother' also recommended some local attractions during our stay. He was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. He mentioned he was from a third-party company, but I think Ascott should definitely consider hiring him directly. Front Desk: Fredrick Luo helped us check in. We asked if we could be upgraded to a sea-view room, and he was very accommodating, which was great. We also casually mentioned we were from Singapore. Breakfast: This was hands down the best breakfast we've had in Hainan so far. Every dish was exquisite, especially the Western options. The black bread was incredibly fragrant – you could tell a lot of effort went into it. The intern students working in the morning were all very diligent, which shows good training. The room was fantastic, I loved it. All the amenities were top-notch, and the wine glasses seemed to be crystal, even though the cups and teacups weren't branded. Room cleaning was typically done right after breakfast, on par with the Shangri-La in Taipei and Shenzhen. The only minor drawback was on our check-out day. We had to leave very early and had informed a young lady at the front desk a day in advance that we needed a breakfast box. She said it would be left at the front desk along with some fruit, but we'd still have to pick it up from the restaurant ourselves. A duty manager then appeared and offered to help, but ultimately, I still had to go to the restaurant to get it myself. The breakfast box was a bit too simple. Even though the restaurant opened at 7:30 AM, I went at 7:10 AM, and some elderly guests were already dining. They could definitely prepare more substantial meals for early morning flight passengers. A duty staff member at the restaurant gave me an extra breakfast box that day, and I added some more food to it. The front desk had mentioned fruit would be included, but there wasn't any in the box. This was the only slight disappointment. However, I would still gladly return or consider a long-term stay. Ascott could learn from Shangri-La by having more experienced front desk and restaurant staff to handle such situations – then it would be absolutely perfect. The noodles in Picture 1 were also delicious."

"Spacious room with living hall, bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, 1 spacious bathroom, 1 powder room and 2 balconies with unblocked sea views. The staff are very friendly and professional, special mention to Derren Dong, who helped us warmly. We couldn’t get train tickets to Yalong Bay and we reached out to hotel in the middle of night. Derren quickly hooked us with a driver to pick us at the Meilan airport. This was during the Chinese New Year period. And during our 3-days stay, Derren provided us all tourist activities hotel has provided, including free photo shoot with dedicated photographer. The beautiful beach, hotel’s well-designed surroundings and clear cool skies are the best backdrop. Buffet breakfast was so sumptuous with a wide selection. It’s really the one of the most memorable places."

"Terrible!!!! We booked for two nights, and the day before checking out, we decided we wanted to stay an extra night due to an unforeseen event. So we went to the front desk to ask about extending our stay for one night and if we could have a two-hour late checkout since we were staying an additional night. The front desk agreed. When we asked about payment, they said we had a deposit. We thought everything was settled. However, the next morning, the front desk informed us that there was no record or documentation in their system about our extension and they didn't acknowledge it. If we wanted to extend, we would have to pay an additional 100 RMB or so. The front desk was completely irresponsible! We spoke to the manager, who only offered an apology. Their oversight made the customer pay for it – absolutely terrible!!!!!! Also, the balcony in our room, as shown in the picture, did not have a view like in the promotional photos. You can compare it if you like."

"Came to Sanya with my parents and stayed at the Yalong Bay Marriott Hotel. Our butler, Gentle, was incredibly thoughtful and provided excellent service. The hotel views are also lovely, and the location is great. The room was clean and tidy. The weather was fantastic during our entire stay in Sanya. The walk from the hotel's public area to the beach offered truly stunning and peaceful scenery – no noise or disturbances at all. Breakfast was also decent. All in all, a five-star review. I'll definitely prioritize staying at the Marriott again next time."

"Pros: 1. The suite was spacious and well-designed. 2. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. 3. The front desk answered calls promptly and services were provided quickly. The concierge even helped bring luggage to the room. A dedicated experience ambassador stayed in touch from the moment we booked. 4. The room had no strange odors. 5. Kids received special room key cards and there were plenty of activities. The swimming pool was great, with a lifeguard who was attentive and gave reminders – truly a family-friendly hotel. 6. The path in front of the hotel was lovely, perfect for a morning stroll. Cons: 1. There was no shelf in the shower, and the bath towels were placed under the sink, which felt a bit unhygienic. 2. For a two-bed suite, there was only one large bath towel at check-in. 3. When we initially booked, we reserved two suites. Our rooms did not include breakfast. The hotel asked if we'd like to combine them into a two-bedroom apartment. We checked the room rates for that day; the price for a two-bedroom apartment with four breakfasts was comparable to our two suites without breakfast (the two-bedroom with four breakfasts was only 80 yuan more expensive). The hotel stated that if we switched, breakfast would not be included. This meant that if we made the change, the value of the room and services we'd receive would be lower than our original two suites. We decided not to switch in the end. While the hotel's actions weren't wrong, as guests, it left a slightly sour taste; it felt a bit like the hotel was trying to pull a fast one."

"What truly touched me during this stay was the personalized, attentive service from our butler, Xiu Lian. She was never intrusive, yet always appeared exactly when needed. Every request was met, and her service genuinely felt like she was 'anticipating my needs' – that sense of being looked after and cared for, just like being home. Thank you, [Name], for giving me such a warm place to land in this unfamiliar city. She wasn't just doing her job; it felt more like she was looking after a friend who had traveled a long way. This perfectly balanced care made my trip exceptionally warm."

"Our stay was fantastic! Since we were traveling with seniors and a baby, I called ahead to ask if a room with two bathrooms was available, and thankfully, that's exactly what we got when we checked in, which made things so much more convenient. The three beds comfortably accommodated four adults and two children. We really loved the travel photos and portraits provided by the hotel – they turned out great. The environment is truly lovely, especially the common areas. The kids' play area was a huge hit with our little one, and there were plenty of children's activities. Breakfast was also very diverse. Any requests we had were met with an immediate response; the service was truly excellent ❤️❤️❤️. It's also super close to the duty-free shop, just a few minutes' walk, and dining options are very convenient. We'll definitely come back if we have the chance!"

"1. The hotel environment is excellent, with complete facilities. You won't get bored even if you just stay at the hotel. It boasts an infinity pool, a hot spring area with fish therapy (free for guests), a sandpit and swings for kids, and a pet park featuring alpacas, peacocks, miniature horses, Call ducks, various unnamed birds, and rabbits. Every morning at 9 AM, staff bring the alpacas to the restaurant entrance for guest interaction. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, with laundry pods provided at the front desk. Roughly a third of the guests are Russian tourists. 2. The housekeeping staff were incredibly diligent. Since we frequently went to the beach and brought sand back to the bed, they changed our sheets and duvet covers daily, which we really appreciated. We stayed for nine days and were very happy until the last day's breakfast. Suddenly, they wanted to charge extra for one person. We are two adults and one child, and the room originally included breakfast for two. They didn't charge us on previous days, but on the last day, they suddenly said our child, who is only in second grade, was over 140cm tall and required a fee. It was speechless; there's no way a second-grader is over 140cm! We were inexplicably charged 48 yuan, which instantly soured an otherwise great experience. Thankfully, the front desk staff at the breakfast restaurant on February 14th handled it well."
