The hotel is located on the beachfront near Yantai University, and the north-facing rooms offer unbeatable sea views and expansive tree-lined vistas. It's not too far northwest from Fisherman's Wharf, Binhai Square, and Paotaishan, and just over a kilometer south leads to the lively area of Laishan District. We chose Rongxiang Seafood for dinner, which was incredibly delicious and affordable – Yantai's seafood truly lives up to its reputation! The breakfast at Crowne Plaza Nanshan is also commendable, with a wide variety and excellent quality. They even had freshly made and cooked mackerel dumplings; though not as large as Rongxiang's, they were just as tasty. This five-star hotel offers four-star prices, making the Crowne Plaza Yantai Nanshan our top choice for our next visit to Yantai Laishan!"

Initially, I was quite worried it would be terrible and I wouldn't be able to stand it, but upon entering, it was actually quite acceptable. Eating options around are pretty convenient, and if you don't feel like going out, the hotel offers an à la carte menu. "Taking advantage of the Chinese New Year holiday, my family and I visited the Hilton Yantai Golden Beach. The room was very spacious, featuring two bathrooms, and both the bedroom and living room offered expansive sea views. Opening the window, a refreshing sea breeze brought with it the intoxicating scent of the ocean. The executive lounge, which comes with the room, served dinner, though it was a bit crowded. Downstairs, activities were easily accessible; the seaside jogging path starts right at the hotel entrance and stretches quite a distance, allowing you to walk east to the Solitary Whale Plaza. The hotel's swimming pool has three lanes, and the water quality was decent, though a little salty. I'm not sure if it was seawater."

After leaving my things and going out for dinner, the smell near the coffee table was gone when I came back, but it lingered near the bed. I could still smell it when I was sleeping close by. The bath water is not at a constant temperature and alternates between hot and cold. The breakfast in the hotel is quite confusing. When I went to have breakfast after 8 o'clock, there was not much food. I took my time to replenish the food. The variety, taste, and appearance of the food were not very good. In summary, the hotel has nothing but big rooms. At this price, it is better to stay in the whole season."

After checking in, it was even better than expected. 100 meters north of the backyard of the B&B is the beach, and 150 meters east is Binhai Square. From 7 am to 5 pm, there are seagulls everywhere. There are the most around 1 pm, and you can feed the seagulls. 80 meters north of the backyard is the Blue and White chain restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is similar to Chao Yixing in Jinan, but it tastes much better than Chao Yixing. We arrived at about eight o'clock in the evening, which was quite late. The homestay was in Chaoyang Street, but not on the main street. There was only a faint light in the alley. It might be because it was night, and there were not many people in the alley.
