A taxi to Chongli costs 37 yuan. It's the off-season, and most businesses are closed, so dinner is only available at the Winter Olympic Village. The portions are large; 200 yuan wouldn't be enough for two people. Explore Taiwu Town at your leisure. I came during the off-season, and the cable car was closed. Not satisfied. If you're interested in hiking, you can try the trails, but you must bring hiking poles. Climbing the whole thing will probably leave you exhausted by the time you get back, haha. Fulong Town actually charges 20 yuan for admission during the off-season (when everything is closed)? It's far worse than Taiwu. Especially since you have to pay the security guard? What kind of management is this? Complaining is useless. I suggest you don't stay at Fulong Four Seasons Town; don't waste your money. Xue Ruyi looked beautiful from afar, but I didn't climb it. You can buy things at Yonghui Supermarket in Chongli District and go shopping. Eat lamb spine hotpot in Jiuxian; it's delicious and reasonably priced, about 160 yuan for two people. There's a small nail salon south of the church entrance that only charges 68 yuan, not expensive. Overall, if you're only going skiing, stay at Taiwu. If you want to do other activities, stay in Chongli or Zhangjiakou!"

"Chongli Ski Resort Family-Friendly Hotel Review: A Full Rundown of Pros and Cons Bringing the kids to Chongli for skiing, this hotel's location was a huge plus! The ski resort is right downstairs, so no extra travel is needed. You can drop off your kids with the instructor and leave with peace of mind. The instructors even kindly help with putting on ski boots, hats, and gloves, making the whole experience effortless and worry-free. The hotel staff are also professionally trained, always greeting you warmly and proactively, showing great attention to detail. However, two things slightly detracted from the experience: Firstly, breakfast cleanup starts a bit too early. I'd suggest extending it to 10:30 AM. After dropping off the kids at 9:30 AM and rushing to eat, there's only about ten minutes left. It's a dilemma, as you're afraid of not getting enough food and over-grabbing, yet you also worry about waste. Secondly, the gym facilities and experience were subpar and are in urgent need of upgrading. Additionally, the hotel currently doesn't offer in-room massage services. After the kids finish skiing, there's no suitable option for them to relax. Hotels I've stayed at in Nanshan offered this service, which made the experience much better. What truly deserves praise is the delightful surprise at the breakfast station. The chef making Jianbing (savory crepes) was exceptionally enthusiastic, and his craft was spot-on. The Jianbing were incredibly fragrant, and the Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger) also stood out with its excellent taste. The room layout is particularly well-suited for families. The two-bedroom setup is perfect for a family of four. The room also features a simple kitchenette. After a day of skiing, the kids can enjoy a comfortable hot bath, and then the family can cook a small hotpot together – it's cozy and delightful. Finally, a small detail: the mattress experience varies significantly between different floors. The mattresses on the second floor are a bit soft, while those on the sixth floor are much more comfortable. I'd recommend opting for a room on the sixth floor if possible."

"Very modern / new and confortable rooms - we got upgraded to a two bedroom apartment and it was very comfortable. Right by the ski slope ; 3 buildings you can reach through the parking lot or if the weather allows it from outside where you’ll find plenty of restaurants ; ski rental / gear rental services just right outside the ski lifts. In the room though no plates / cutlery / cooking tools but as we are in touch on WeChat with a very nice lady, I guess we could have asked for it. 潇湘 was helpful all along and would immediately reply to all our requests. A coupon system to get access to the breakfast restaurant ; other coupons to get discounts to rent gears and buy ski cards (a bit complicated when you don’tread Chinese) but we did manage to use them. For ski passes: note that if you buy 4 hours ski pass, it starts when you swipe your first ski lift but I think the équipement rental is for 24h so you might not have to give back your equipment every day. A bit of a hassle every morning to queue up for ski pass / equipment in the midst of CNY."

"The room had really everything. It was like a little apartment and not a ordinary hotel. Really a nice surprise. The staff was friendly, also towards foreigners which is to be very appreciated. Location is very nice, parking for free, all shops and restaurants located around. To ski resort - 10 minutes drive. For this price - best bargain! Will definitely come back again! Thank you!"
