Kyoto Hotels with Kitchens

"The hotel is a 7-8 minute walk from Kyoto Station, with a convenience store right next door. We stayed during the summer. While waiting for our transport at the main entrance, there were so many mosquitoes! My child got bitten 6 times instantly, which was incredibly frustrating. I then noticed two or three on my own hand. The sheer number of mosquitoes was very off-putting, especially since we didn't encounter any while shopping in the Kawaramachi area in the evening. I'm not sure why there was such a difference. The room itself was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. They offered late-night snacks in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was construction going on nearby, so we were woken up early by the noise. Otherwise, it was pretty unremarkable, with a standard star-rated hotel decor."

"The room was excellent, with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which is a bit uncommon for Japan, but the space was still decent. The separate washroom area was practically laid out and spacious. The front desk staff were very patient. The male staff members were bilingual (Japanese/English), and the female staff members were also bilingual (Japanese/Chinese), making for a quick check-in process. The lobby on the first floor was quite spacious, providing a good spot for a temporary rest. They offered complimentary sugar-free beverages (available until 9 PM or 9:30 PM) and there was an ice machine. The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away. You can also walk to Yasaka Shrine, which takes less than half an hour. I didn't pay much attention to what was around the immediate vicinity, and I was a little disappointed that there weren't any major department stores nearby, but since my stay was short, it didn't really impact my experience. Finally, a few minor points for improvement: The bathroom walls weren't tiled but rather made of plastic panels (a minor detail, not a big deal). Also, the number of washing machines and dryers was too limited – it seemed there was only one or two. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. If the price is right on my next visit to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again."

"I stayed for 6 nights in the peak season of November and the price was not cheap. The staff is so polite. The kitchen floor in the room is quite dirty. The most disappointing thing is that the sound insulation is very poor. There are many people walking upstairs every night and it is very loud. After staying for 6 nights, only the last night was quiet because the two couples upstairs had checked out and had already packed their luggage around 5 a.m. We went out and met them checking out around 9 a.m. I wanted to report the noise the next morning, but the staff hadn't come to work yet. After that, I stayed for a while and forgot about it. Moreover, the table in the living room is very small. We bought food from a nearby supermarket to eat back, but there was not enough space, so we had to use our suitcases as the table. The door is electronically locked, so there is no need to bring a key when going out. Towels will not be changed during your stay, but there is a washing machine so you can clean yourself. Not many hangers and cutlery. The location is good, very close to the station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby."

"it's a nice place to stay couple of days in the downtown of Kyoto, with double room and a dinning room with all kitchen staff. most importantly, many of attractions are in walk distance such as Gion, Kiyomizu, National Museum etc."

"Wow!!! This by far has been our favorite of all the hotels we have stayed in Japan, if you are looking for a combination of traditional and modern this is it!. We first thought it was inconvenient as we were nervous and have never been in Japan and felt so different than Tokyo, but once we were settled, we all agreed it was the best so by far, beautiful, clean and super safe!!! We even left our teenagers move by themselves in the area. Just be mindful that some restaurants close early or check the times and days they close, go to a Konbini and pack up on snacks, the rooms have refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, toothpaste, pj's, name it, they have it! Kyoto is absolutely beautiful! I would happily stay here a month and wouldn't miss home one bit!! Enjoy your trip!!!"

"This place was so great. In a small space, there are two bunk beds that can accommodate a family of four very comfortably!! There is also a large sofa bed and table. All the elements were perfect for our family. The location was also good, so we could enjoy Kyoto's major tourist attractions on foot. There is no parking lot, but there are many paid parking lots around. If you look around a little, you can find a relatively cheap parking lot. Considering the price of the hotel, the parking fee is not bad. From Sunday to Tuesday, 2 nights and 3 days - 4,600 yen. (We kept the car parked because there was no change of mind.) I was surprised that there was a Korean staff member at check-in, and the check-in process was also easy. There is even a sofa bed, so I highly recommend it for a family trip of 4-5 people."

"A family-friendly apartment-style hotel, perfect for family trips. The room features a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, and is equipped with a kitchen and a washing machine, which was incredibly convenient. Our room was on the 2nd floor, facing the main road, so it was a bit noisy at night. Getting around was quite convenient, with both bus stops and subway stations nearby. Highly recommended for families."
