Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort

My stay at this hotel was really good, the room was very big and spacious, the bathroom was clean and also spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I always felt like they were willing to help whenever I asked. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of options and there was always everything available whatever time I went, there were 2 X bread stations so no waiting, eggs were cooked fresh however you wanted, bacon, beans, ham, a variety of cheeses, yogurts with many fresh fruits, even sushi 😯 there was Also options to have hot cooked food, stir-fry, noodles, steamed vegetables,need I say more. The grounds around the hotel were very well kept, clean and tidy, the pool area had sunbeds available and also sunbeds on the beach area too, always available. My time here was very relaxing and even though there were families with children it was not so noisy, if you would rather prefer to have an adult only stay somewhere then make this not your choice.

Good view and excellent service, located close to the beach and sea. The sunset is romantic.

Could have been great but wasn’t. Nowhere to eat. Hotel restaurant was bad and expensive. Room wasn’t ready. Reception was chaos - lots of irate guests trying to check in. Staff had no idea how to deal with customers. Booked rooms together. 1 was in block A and the other was in block D!  No urgency or attentiveness from staff. They just all seemed like they were not being well managed and the guests were a nuisance to them.  Pool and beach were nice but apart from that there was nothing to do. Asked for a gin and tonic but the barman said the tonic hadn’t  arrived. The little shop 10 yards behind the hotel had a fridge full of tonic but that was a step too far for this hotel.  Cockerel woke me up at 4am every morning. Mosque started loudly chanting at 5am which set the dogs barking. Also next to a road and the moped hire shop. Didn’t sleep well.

Hotel is view a wonderful view, great facilities. The gym could be much better and the service in the restaurant sometimes get confused with the orders. But overall was a great experience!

The service was excellent! Let us check in early on arrival with cold welcome drinks. Team was so friendly and helpful. Got kayaks out for us and let is check out late for our flights. Lovely place!

I especially enjoyed waking up to the breathtaking views right from my room. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. The resort also offers excellent facilities, including a lovely pool and direct beach access, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. For anyone looking for a quiet escape with comfort, great service, and beautiful surroundings, Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort is an excellent choice. I would be happy to return on my next trip to Yao Yai.

The location is fab for a nice view and walks. Food was great and staff were very helpful

The last time I came to Dachang Island was eight years ago. Perhaps there are really few tourists on the island in the off-season. The only drawback this time is that the hotel sent an email two days before arrival, informing that the maintenance of the large swimming pool has been disabled, which is really the biggest fatal injury in this arrangement. I have eaten in several restaurants nearby. The only one I recommend Harris is cheap, and the mother next door and by the sea is really expensive. I rented a motorcycle and went to 7-11 to buy... I found that the hotel can do the maintenance of air conditioning carefully, which can at least save a lot of expenses for the boss every month, hehe!

Booked for 2 days but increased another two days as loved the beach, pool and the entire vibe of the resort.
