Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel

Fantastic views and an enjoyable overall experience! The hotel offers a shuttle service to/from Sannomiya, Kobe, approximately every half hour. However, it only has 19 seats, so if it's full, you'll have to wait for the next one. This shuttle is shared with the Okura Hotel, so be sure to look for the one with blue seats. There's a FamilyMart on the 3rd floor of the lobby. Breakfast tends to be more Japanese-style. MOSAIC Garden is within walking distance, and Kobe Port Tower is also very close by.

This landmark hotel is a must-stay in Kobe! Choosing a sea-view room was such a pleasant surprise, offering direct views of the ocean and the Ferris wheel. Both day and night, the scenery is stunning; the hotel itself is a beautiful sight. There's a regular shuttle bus service to and from Sannomiya, with a timetable conveniently located at the entrance, making it very easy to go shopping and dining in the city center. Just outside, you'll find Meriken Park, and other port attractions are within walking distance. The harbor atmosphere is absolutely incredible, perfect for watching both sunsets and night views. It's ideal for a relaxing getaway and highly recommended for anyone visiting Kobe.

This hotel has a very interesting interior design, and the terrace of the west-facing rooms offers direct views of the Ferris wheel. However, due to its harbor location, it's a bit far from the subway station.

This hotel was the most satisfying of our trip. It's located right in Meriken Park, and our room was a sea view, offering beautiful scenery both day and night. At first, I thought there was nothing around the hotel except the park. However, once we got our bearings, we found that Daimaru and BAL department stores were both within a 15-minute walk. On the other side, MO SAIC and umie shopping centers were also close by, making it convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel breakfast area was spacious, and the selection was quite varied. There's also a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station, with the timetable available in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Booked this hotel to see the fireworks. The room was just so-so, and it was a bit inconvenient not having an outlet by the bed. The location is inside American Park, which is a bit of a walk from the station, but taking a taxi to other places was fine. The views, however, were definitely excellent.

From Sannomiya Station, there's a free shuttle bus to the hotel from bus stop 8, running about two or three times an hour. Otherwise, it's quite a long walk, and a taxi would cost less than 2000 JPY.
