I wrote a bunch before and couldn’t send it, so I’ll send it again. This hotel has inconvenient transportation and is not recommended for foreigners who are not familiar with Japanese public transportation.
There are few restaurants around, few choices, and they close early. It is adjacent to two universities, two primary and secondary schools, and a kindergarten. During lunch break, you can see many local student parties and young people with children eating in the surrounding restaurants. It is relatively local and you can experience the ordinary dining experience of the locals.
The hotel restaurant is originally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays every week. If not, you can eat in the hotel restaurant, which should be fine. Unfortunately, we were closed for several days during our stay. The breakfast is still very good, and it is also famous in the surrounding area. There are far more locals than foreigners eating in the breakfast restaurant every morning.
The facilities in the room are old and have been renovated in about 20 years. Many of the furnishings are still from the 90s to 00s, and there are few plugs, which is very inconvenient. However, the bathroom was well renovated, very warm and hygienic, and the experience was pretty good.
The most noteworthy thing is the sea view. Rooms facing the sea in the high area can see the sun rising from the sea level every morning, giving you an unobstructed view.
The triple room was renovated and was very crowded. The third bed was barely built. The gap between the two beds was about 15 centimeters. You couldn't even put your shoes in and had to go in sideways. If I could choose, I would definitely book the one next door. Hi, apart from the sea view, there is nothing about this hotel that makes me think it is worth coming back.
