Really best of the best, location (5 mins from shin kobe station, subways local trains to hotel, ropeway and herb gardens etc).  Best service upon check in, best food, best room.  No words to express my happiness during my stay in this hotel.

Considering the age of the hotel, it's actually quite well-maintained. The only minor issue is the bathroom is a bit small, making it hard to find space for toiletries. However, the view outside the window is absolutely fantastic; you can enjoy the panoramic scenery effortlessly morning, noon, and night.

Due to a canceled flight from Osaka to Sapporo, Trip.com rebooked us for the next day, flying from Kobe, and we stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel. It's an old, established 5-star hotel, over 30 years old. There are two daily shuttle buses to and from Osaka Kansai Airport, which is very convenient. It's right above Shin-Kobe Station, and a 20-minute walk to Sannomiya. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but the ambiance and service were excellent. Because our flight was canceled, I had to cancel a whiskey distillery tour scheduled for the next afternoon, and the hotel staff kindly helped me call the distillery to arrange that. The price was about a third of what it would cost domestically, making it fantastic value for money.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Shin-Kobe subway station, just one stop away from Sannomiya, the city center. However, that one subway stop costs 210 yen, which is quite a bit more expensive than what you'd pay back home. So, if you have some time, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk is a great alternative. The cable car for the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens is also right by the hotel, making it easy to take it up and then enjoy a leisurely stroll back down.

Good location! Close to tourist attractions, subway stations, Shinkansen Station. Even have the express bus service to different locations, line osaka airport or Naruto tokushima. Breakfast is good, hotel rate is reasonable. Recommended if you are looking hotel in Kobe!
