Du Talay Hotel Koh Chang

Great place! It was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff provided excellent service.

We stayed for 2 days. The hotel is on the shore. It has no territory of its own at all. There was a side view of the sea. On the second floor there is an exit to an open terrace. There is a safe, but it is somehow incomprehensible, and there are no instructions. There is nowhere to dry a towel. In general, the hotel is normal for a few days. We did not go to breakfast.

The room is very big. The view from the room is a sea view. You can see the sea fully. There is a balcony of the hotel to see the sea as well. The breakfast place is next to the sea. The hotel is next to the sea. But the beach where the hotel is located may be a bit small. There are only some periods of the day when the water is low and you can walk. The water is clear and inviting. Breakfast is a set with 3 types to choose from: rice porridge, American style, and muesli + yogurt. The staff is polite and gives very good advice. The location of the hotel is close to everything. It is quite convenient.

We reserved two rooms on the first floor facing each other, which were comparable to the 7 Days Inn. The ceilings were moldy and the wall paint was peeling. On the first day, the water pipe in my friend's room was broken and we couldn't take a hot shower. They said they would come to fix the hot water pipe the next morning, but when we came back in the afternoon, there was still no hot water. The aunt at the front desk even scolded my friend, saying that everyone else had no problem, so why was there a problem with your room? Just after she finished arguing, a foreigner also came to complain about the lack of hot water. What a shame... We had BBQ at the hotel in the evening. The prawns were moldy and the head and body were separated. We called the restaurant manager to come and ask for a refund. After we communicated well, he said we could take it back to the kitchen for free, but he turned his face and refused to pay after paying the bill, saying that the delivery person brought it and it was not fresh, and it had nothing to do with their restaurant. In the end, they charged 20% off for the plate of prawns. The only bright spot is the restaurant environment, but the food is really bad. I hope this hotel will close down soon.

The food is delicious but the service needs to be improved. The morning receptionist with long gray hair never greeted me in the morning. It was like asking for a free night. The receptionist should have better manners. The air conditioner in the room on the first day was not cool. On the second day, they changed the room. The cleaning staff was good. The cancellation process was difficult. Unable to contact and help with Trip.com.
