SYLVAN Koh Chang

We had a few hiccups upon check in. Traveled from BKK and arrived a little past 2 PM. We were told check in starts at 3PM. We waited patiently and was able to check in only after 3:10 as the room took time to get ready. Upon arrival to the room, AC's remote or the bed-side control weren't working. Took them another 30 mins to figure out. Then, we had the wifi checked as it wasn't also working. So overall, it delayed our much needed rest after a long travel. It didn't give us a satisfying first impression. And the wifi is really choppy in our room. That's a real struggle. The resort, as a whole is really beautiful. Nestled in greeneries with beachfront access, 2 enjoyable swimming pools, scheduled free shuttle bus to the nearest town center, and 24-hour on-call buggy service. It's a beautiful place but there may still be some "room for improvement". 1. Though breakfast is complete: main, side dishes, desserts, pastries, and drinks — the main dishes lack variety of meat. Non-pork eaters or anyone with seafood allergy may not be satisfied and would just cling on side dishes instead, or the pastries. Also, many of the main dishes lack flavor. Pastries taste good; and the omelette and the siomai are especially tasty. 2. They're quite strict with their breakfast dress code. If you're in your pajamas, even if they're modest, you'll have to really change. I understand there may be is some dress code to different institutions, but I find it slightly snobby to not allow someone to get in for that, especially they are guests who just wanted to eat. What they should really check if whatever is worn is revealing. 'Coz even sandos and beach wear are not smart casual too. If they're strict with one, then they should have the same measure for all. That's just my 2 cents which take away the "welcoming factor". 3. The wifi needs to be steadier in the cliff rooms. Overall, the room we got had a very good view upon my request of seeing the ocean and the islands. The things noted are voiced out that it may perfect the already beautiful resort so that every guest feels welcomed from check in to check out. This way, they'll hopefully have the desire to come back. 💗 Thank you, Sylvan.

Booked in for a couple of days and have decided to stay 9 more days....think that says enough. Its stunning here. The breakfast is lovely. The scenery is breathtaking Its a special place. We hired mopeds to see the rest of the island too. Friendly staff, nothing is too much xx

We had a wonderful time at SYLVAN Koh Chang. Everything was excellent, from the cleanliness to the service. The breakfast was definitely the highlight—delicious with plenty of variety. The hotel also offers a wide range of activities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun getaway

We had an amazing stay at Sylvan Koh Chang and truly enjoyed every moment. The resort is beautiful and full of little surprises. Every corner is stunning, surrounded by nature and beautiful frangipani flowers. The scent of fresh frangipani around the swimming pool was absolutely wonderful and made the whole stay feel even more special. The staff were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive. They kindly prepared a lovely towel birthday cake for my partner with fresh frangipani flowers, which was such a sweet and memorable surprise. During breakfast, we even saw a huge bird nearby, which was a unique and memorable experience. One of our most unforgettable moments was walking back along the beach at night after dinner. The sky was full of stars, and we even saw a shooting star. It felt magical and romantic. Overall, it was a wonderful stay filled with beautiful memories. We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this resort to couples looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway.

Sylvan Koh Chang Hotel was very amazing and beautiful. Perfect breakfast with Thai, European and some Chinese cuisine , good Sunset Restaurant on the beach. Wide rooms with transparent glass-covered shower and separate bathroom, nice SPA. Huge territory with beautiful tropical plants, flowers and two big awesome birds. Nice stuff, it was very clean every day. We had a good holiday rest in Sylvan hotel!
