Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort

Wonderful hotel! It has a large area, lush greenery everywhere, it's quiet, hornbills fly around, there are big swimming pools, billiards and table tennis, morning yoga on the beach, fruit salad with yogurt for breakfast... Pure relaxation ;) We stayed in the main building, and the room had everything we needed: toiletries, a hairdryer, two umbrellas, a flashlight, a safe, daily deliveries of water in glass bottles, and a paid mini-bar. The lighting was well-designed. Nearby, there's a large pool with a slide, a jacuzzi, and the bar has happy hours for cocktails. The second pool is by the beach, near the cafe where breakfast is served. They also have happy hours there and various dinner specials daily. Breakfasts are delicious, with fruits, pastries, freshly made coffee, and fried bacon. The beach, however, is not great... It's shallow, with low tides. It's very pleasant to walk around the hotel grounds, both day and night. There are many beautiful spots. Everything outside the hotel is also close by (shops, cafes). I really liked this hotel, and I'll choose it again next time if the price is right.

The hotel is huge with a large, green territory. The only downside was the canals with fish. Near our building, there was a slight smell and lots of mosquitoes, as they hatch in the water. There are two pools, both clean and large. The staff is excellent. The rooms are a bit dark, though, but that's the style with a lot of wood. Breakfasts are varied.

This resort boasts an excellent environment. The rooms are quite spacious, and when you open the sliding door to the balcony, you're greeted by the resort's lush garden world. It's truly like being in a plant kingdom. I'm already thinking about bringing my parents here for another visit!

A very pleasant hotel, nestled in a real tropical garden, where every meter of the property is a ready-made photo spot for photo enthusiasts. A very relaxing atmosphere with a feeling of closeness to nature. Polite and unobtrusive service, decent breakfasts. On the downside, the air conditioning in the room was very noisy.

Far from the main road, it's quite quiet. The breakfast was good, and there are two swimming pools, which the kids loved. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The accommodation is a five-minute walk from the beach, perfect for a stroll along the sand.

The accommodation has a great atmosphere, it's shady, quiet, and right by the sea. The area is spacious, and you can walk along the beach. The rooms are large and clean. It's truly a hotel with a wonderful ambiance.

Let's start with the positives: The hotel environment is indeed very nice and beautiful. It's close to the sea in the morning, has a pool, and is conveniently located. Now for the main points, which led to a bad experience and a negative review: We didn't realize that to get to Koh Chang, you had to reach the pier and board by 5 PM that day, otherwise, you'd have to wait until the next day. While we were on our way, around 12 PM that day, we contacted the hotel to see if we could cancel that night's stay or postpone it by a day. The hotel initially refused, and even after we involved the platform's customer service, it was no use! Alright, so Trip.com ended up compensating us for part of our room fee, and we rented a hotel near the pier to board the island the next day. The next day, we arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, and they still made us wait for the room to be cleaned. We waited for about 25 minutes before checking in. We found this very strange because if they didn't let us cancel the room we didn't stay in yesterday, and still charged us for it, shouldn't we have been able to check in directly, even if we arrived at 6 AM? What kind of cleaning were they doing? (We strongly suspect the hotel was double-dipping, 'marrying two husbands' so to speak). After finally checking into the room, the door was incredibly difficult to open with the key (after finding a nearby staff member, they helped us change the lock). We were already exhausted at that point, and then we couldn't even open the door, which made us even angrier!!!
