Absolutely incredible place! Tucked away in the mangroves this is a gem. Not only the staff is super friendly and helpful also the accommodation is breathtaking. One of the best places I’ve stayed so far. Would recommend 100% to people who like the authentic feelz of a place with great facilities which to my opinion are pretty neat and fancy comparing to standard Thai accommodation. Great value for the price! I’ll be back ✨🫶🏻

Our experience at Baan Rim Nan guesthouse was perfect from start to finish. We loved its position on the river and there were plenty of places to eat nearby, some in the village about a 10 minute walk away and others on the river and on the beach. Our room, Mangrove, was the only one without a view (we knew this, it's cheaper) but the communal deck area is so spacious and little used, we just sat there when we wanted to look at the beautiful river view and passing boats. We loved borrowing the kayaks and canoes to paddle upriver for a swim or down to the beach for breakfast. The room itself was superbly fitted with everything you could need all at a very high standard. The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom beautifully appointed and there was so much space. Ian, his wife and his small staff are delivering a high quality experience at a very reasonable rate and I recommend Baan Rim Nam to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in a beautiful location.

Best food we have had during our trip to Thailand! Amazing setting right on the beach as well as the most delicious seafood platter. Lastly, the service from all team members was brilliant! A definite 5 star experience.

This small boutique resort deserves 5star reviews because the total experience was superb! My only regret is that I didn’t book it earlier and have more time to spend there. The owners are lovely and will help you out with any questions and are so knowledgeable about the island. Mimi and Pui the staff are gracious and so helpful and always at hand. Happy staff make happy customers. Stylish and well designed rooms and ours was a riverfront one which was just perfect for watching the birds and life on the river. Highly recommend and my hot tip for you is book it as early as you can to make sure you get a chance to experience the tranquility it offers.

We returned to Baan Rim Nam after a few years (obligatory covid) brake . The things that were good before and made us come back are still perfect, quiet location in the "armpit" of the river and the sea, a lovely wooden terrace on the river for drinking morning coffee and reading a book, free canoes for little adventures, well-functioning wifi, really nice staff, who makes you feel like you've come for a visit to someones home and not for paid accommodation, and of course owner Ian, from whom you can always get tips and help, whether you want to go hiking, eat or see the sights. The biggest change is that instead of the former five rooms, there are now four completely renovated rooms. The two-bedroom family room is, simply put, really good. Very clean, really comfortable bed and excellent linens, pillows and blankets, the bathroom is functional, and their shower soap is absolutely wonderful!! It's nice to get fruit from the village and other small snacks for the fridge, and you can prepare your daily coffee in the small but functional kitchen. And if you need your daily dose for Netflix, there is big tv for that. We couldn't have wished for anything more, the week as guests of Ian and the staff went by way too quickly.  We walked to the village in about 20 minutes, there is a nice bakery and enough different places to eat every night of the week. After the meal, it's easy to grab a taxi from the street and return to paradise. Nearby, a few minutes' walk away, there is a good sandy beach and the Palm Beach restaurant, which offers good food and cocktails, is definitely worth checking out. If you are looking for a place with bars and parties around all the time, this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you enjoy a high-class room, a small resort and its relaxed atmosphere, you like to sit with a drink on the terrace and watch life on the river, go to the village to eat and take canoe trips, you couldn't make a better choice:) Baan Rim Nam does not have a restaurant, but you can have simple breakfast to start your day :) 

AH...this is the place i dream of. The place is so clean, relaxing, quiet, and the staff, amazing. Hubby needs a Songtaw to get to town, and they would call one up anytime we needed them. They looked after us like we were family..always there if we needed anything. The staff keeps the decks, rooms and everything so clean.The honor system of the items in the cooler, (beer, water, drinks) is so nice, no one does that!! You can use the paddle boards, SUP, kayaks anytime, and with me...the staff came out to make sure that i got up (first time) and kept an eye out for me. The place is so quiet, in a fishing village, sitting on the deck, watching life go by, is just an amazing feeling. The walkway in is a tropical jungle and i have to check out all the plants each time we walk in. There is the BEST beach restaurant just a short walk from BNR, and the food! Each night we walked down there, why go anywhere else. We had two family rooms, right on the deck. They are outfitted with all new appliances, and large frig, so we could bring fruit and pastries back from town and enjoy during the day.Totally decked out with everything you could possibly need. Have to thank Ian and his group for one of the most enjoyable visits we have ever had (we love to stay here) and can't wait to go back. When we left, everyone came outside where the car picks you up, and said goodbye with pictures. Very hard to leave...see you all next time, and a big thank you...xoxoxo

We stayed here as a family of 5 adults in the 2 family rooms, and we all loved our stay here. Ian and his staff are super helpful and friendly. The guesthouse is tucked away from the main road, but this was perfect for relaxing. A sandy beach was a short walk away. The rooms are modern & clean and has everything you'd need. The outdoor patio was great for watching the fisherman go by. The canoes and kayaks provided were also handy to get to the north side of the beach and even eat at restaurants on the opposite side of the river! Along the road between the guesthouse and the main road, beware of the monkeys. For those unfamiliar with monkeys (like us), do not carry back food in see-through bags.

We stayed at the River room for 3 nights in June. It felt like home. We could not do much in Koh Chang due to the persistent rain. But we had no issues staying in the room to watch Netflix, lazing at the “Marina” on the bean bags, or sitting at the balcony. It was very relaxing. My wife and I enjoyed kayaking on the river, and seeing the birds and the little animals in the mangrove. If you are lucky, you get to enjoy Mimi’s hot homemade coconut dessert. Kudos to Ian and his staff for making our experience at Koh Chang and stay at Baan Rim Nam, an excellent one.
