This hotel is fantastic! This was our third time staying at Shanta, and we returned after a long six-year break. The hotel has gotten even better since then. It's quiet and peaceful, and the staff are incredibly efficient and discreet. We honestly haven't tasted better food anywhere else in Thailand. Beach towels are readily available, as is bottled water. There are always sun loungers free, even when the hotel is fully booked – you hardly see anyone, it's truly a place for relaxation. The bedding and towels are excellent quality. They've also started providing daily snacks like cookies and nuts (in addition to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), plus sweet sodas. We will definitely be back to our beloved Shanta!

We have just spent a wonderful 5 days here and it was a blissfully peaceful and tranquil stay. At first we were a little unsure about how remote and cut off it seemed but within a very short time, we had completely forgotten about the outside world. Shantaa resort had everything you could need for a truly relaxing stay. The villas are super comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in lovely gardens which roll down to the sea. The bathroom is an outdoor room which has its own pretty little tropical garden feature. Everything is tastefully furnished, the beds are very comfortable and everything is kept lovely and clean. The outside terrace has beanbag sofas which are great for lounging on. The pool area is great, nice beds and plenty of towels and bottled water available. The restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast which was really lovely. A lot of thought and effort goes into how the food and drink is made and presented. There is an extensive dinner menu and all the meals we took were of an excellent standard and really very inexpensive. The cafe, which has a lovely setting by the sea, serves lunches and drinks throughout the day and everything we ordered was super fresh and of a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!

It’s an excellent hotel and better value for money than others on the island. Breakfast is great, beach is average and the pontoon ruins it a bit. Staff could definitely smile more but this is a common thing of Koh Kood

An absolutely gem! This place is super private. The way it's designed allows you to be free from your busy city life and within hours of arrival, you will feel relaxed as the air, sea breeze and the friendly staff make you feel like royalty. The restaurant boasts a great selection of authentic Thai cuisine.

Very nice staying at this wonderful resort near by the amazing beach. Good breakfast, nice and clean rooms (with great smell and outdoor interesting shower), beautiful garden and great swimming pool. They have a cafe right on the beach. Very convenient that you can rent scooter at the hotel. Staff can help you to arrange the way back to Bangkok.

The best hotel in Koh Kuda!!!! A GREAT location at the end of Ao Tapao Beach, with its own private beach. If you're looking for more space, just beyond the pier, it's waiting for you! We checked in early upon arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, with a superb sea view. Two huge closets with shelves and drawers offer ample storage, so your belongings and suitcases don't ruin the room's aesthetics! The bathroom, shower, and toilet are spacious and tropical paradise-like, with thoughtful details including hangers, ladders, hooks, and a bench. The à la carte breakfasts are delicious, but with an unlimited choice. The seafood noodle soup is truly something special, as is the avocado toast and the coffee! We also had dinner at the hotel, and everything was wonderful. I was especially impressed with how they cleaned the room after check-out! We had a late ferry transfer, so we spent time on the beach, saying goodbye to our room, which had become our home, and seeing it serviced for three hours, washing all the walls, ceiling, and panoramic windows, not just the floors, shelves, bathroom fixtures, and linens! It was great that the staff knew their guests by sight and were very friendly. We'd be happy to return next time for a longer stay; three nights wasn't enough!

The breakfast is delicious and exquisite, and you can order more if you're not full. The dinner is also very good. You can fish on the rocks near the swimming pool. There's a small beach downstairs from the restaurant. It's very quiet and relaxing, perfect for lounging.

There's no better hotel on Koh Kood!!! Location, food, staff, facilities – everything is perfect! This was our fourth visit, and it's always incredible. If you're looking for absolute peace and quiet with that certain something extra, this is the perfect place.

In one word great. Bungalow with beautiful view. A garden full of palms and other trees and plants. An a la Carte breakfast which was great. A lovely swimming pool with thick cushions in the sunbeds and excellent service!!
