The hotel's location is decent, no better or worse than others on the island. The beach is ordinary, the pier is beautiful, and from an aesthetic point of view, I have no complaints about the hotel itself. The breakfast at the hotel is good. Now, for the downsides: Our room wasn't expensive, but there was no hot water, and I assume there never is. Showering with cold water is not pleasant, especially in January. They charge for beach towels; first they said 100 baht, then 50 baht. There was an absolutely horrendous, rotten smell in the bathroom, like a dead animal. This smell seeped into the room even with the door closed, so we had to sleep with the bathroom door open.

I decided to stay at this hotel several years ago, and finally, it happened! I'm so glad I picked such a wonderful place. The grounds, with all the bungalows, are perfectly laid out. You can get anywhere quickly and easily; there's no need to go out of your way. There are so many charming pathways – whether you want to walk on stones, wooden decking, or through the garden and grass, it's just ideal. I was worried about the rocky shore, but it turns out the hotel has a large, private, gently sloping sandy beach with sun loungers and swings. The food is varied and delicious every day. I would definitely go back there again. The bungalows are lovely and clean, with a fresh cosmetic renovation – well done! And the hammock on the porch is a perfect spot for relaxation. I have no complaints; everything was magnificent. Oh, and the snorkeling is amazing on the left side of the sandy beach, and you can even walk to a waterfall!

We've stayed at the hotel twice. The bungalows are cozy, the beach is nice, and the breakfast is excellent.

I liked the location. We rented a scooter from the hotel and rode all over the island.

Living in nature, surrounded by nature. Personally, we couldn't get any sleep. The house was overflowing with geckos that screamed all night. We weren't given the house we booked, but an old shack with huge cracks. The beach is beautiful, but there are too many outsiders who don't stay at this hotel. The reception is very unfriendly. They charge a ridiculous 1000 baht deposit for the key and are reluctant to return it. The restaurant is bad; the food isn't tasty. There are plenty of much better cafes nearby. Don't book house J9. The concrete wardrobe is inexplicably combined with the shower and room. The room is very dark with poor lighting. The mattress is good, and the bed is large.

Amazing location and nature but otherwise in a really bad condition. The place could be so much better, the nature around it is very beautiful and the place has a lot of potential. But the main areas look like built 20+ years ago and haven't since been renewed. Unfortunately it seems that the management just doesn't care and are not trying to make things better. It left us with a feeling that even with just 1 day, we could improve this resort by a lot. So our opinion is that it's not worth this 120 USD a day rate despite it's natural beauty, and there are better alternatives on the island. General recommendation for families - pool is really not necessary in Koh Kood as the beaches are so amazing. So better book a cheaper beach-front bungalow than search for a resort with a pool, and you won't regret!
