There's no curtain separating the beds for privacy. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired; the sink is dirty and clogged despite the presence of a daily cleaner. I sincerely believe she's doing her best. But I've stayed in about ten hotels and hostels, and the cleanliness was virtually identical everywhere.

From Thong Sala Pier, walk to the accommodation about 700 meters. There are convenience stores and many restaurants near the accommodation. Book a private room, but the bathroom is shared. The staff is welcoming. There is a shuttle service to Haad Rin during Full Mon at 150 baht per person/trip, a distance of almost 10 km. (And you can also take a ferry from Haad Rin to Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, which has 2 rounds at 12.30 and 16.00.) On the way back, there is a songthaew service all night. You can negotiate a fixed price or wait until the passengers are full to save money. This accommodation provides coffee and drinking water in the common area. Shampoo and shower gel can be purchased by yourself. It is recommended to book accommodation in advance during the festival. There are also yoga classes and morning exercises.
