If you want the best get the room with the view!

Well located family run hotel. Beach location. Roof terrace. Close to all amenities. Central village location. Various restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. A couple of pubs near. Multiple 7/11’s to hand. Taxi boats at this stunning location.

The location is wonderful. Night market is cool. Some of stuff is nice, other don’t speak English well. All in common is well.

Awful experience- the room advertised on Trip.com was not that I was given on arrival. I have notified Trip.com as this really ruined my time- the room offered was directly onto the road, dark, and very cheap furniture and bed, looked like it had been salvaged from a tip of roadside. When I complained, an extremely arrogant English man, presumably the owner, told me ‘it was a matter of opinion’, that the rooms were different. I left without refund and had to book another room. False advertising, scam. Don’t book here

A nice location, clean and spacious room, great view. The part of the Chaloklum beach the hotel has access to is not the best, but it's easy to walk to Malibu or the one to the right from the pier. There's also a nice rooftop area with even better views. A construction site is nearby, and there's a sign with apologies for the inconveniences caused by it in the hotel, but honestly I haven't heard any noise from it.

There is so much to like and a few things to be warned about in this property. The first is that the location, Chaloklum beach, is very remote and will be difficult to get to from Thong Sala pier unless you are traveling with a large group. However, that remoteness is very much the appeal of this area for me, as it is once of the quietest beaches I’ve ever experienced. The second thing to note is that the hotel rooms shows it’s age, with a cracking bath tile for the jacuzzi and balcony doors that barely work. The hotel room only had one plug as well, and the hair dryer did not work. The last thing I will say though is that the view really is unbeatable; you open your curtains and see one of the most beautiful sights you can see.

Mandalai it’s a great place to stay. Very clean, organised with friendly staff. Hotel has top location, right on the beach with fantastic local restaurants in the neighbourhood and Sunday market next to it. There are some good hikes, one of them it’s Bottle beach hike. Also good sunset view point 5 min drive. Highly recommend this place

Mandalay Hotel — Malibu Beach, Koh Phangan, Thailand The hotel is conveniently located for first-time visitors to Koh Phangan. Situated directly along the main road from the pier, it's easy to find—no searching or stress after a long journey. This family-run hotel offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Any questions we had upon check-in were resolved quickly, with understanding and a genuine desire to help, without being overly formal. Our room was on the second floor, and this was, without exaggeration, one of the highlights. It overlooked the beach and sea, as well as the pier just nearby. Diving boats and beach walks depart from this pier. This doesn't create any inconvenience for your vacation—in fact, it adds convenience: in addition to car taxis, you can always take a boat taxi and get there by water. The second floor is pure magic. The space, air, and panoramic views create the feeling that the sea is part of the room. We were especially delighted with the Jacuzzi in the room. Of course, we turned it on—a warm bubble bath, the evening light, the sound of the waves outside the window… a perfect romantic moment when time seems to stand still and only you, the water, and the ocean remain. The room is quite standard and comfortable: a comfortable bed, nightstands and a table, coffee and tea sets, a full set of bathroom accessories. The high ceilings and panoramic windows enhance the feeling of spaciousness. We slept with the windows open every night, to the sounds of the sea at night—the soft, vibrant sound of the waves becomes the most natural and relaxing background, after which you fall into a deep and restful sleep. Among the service's special perks: they can call a taxi, help with bike rentals, resolve any organizational issues, and they don't push you, don't bother you with unnecessary cleaning or questions. I simply went down to pick up two bottles of water and a change of towels myself—incidentally, there are robes in the room, which adds to the feeling of comfort and resort-like relaxation. Bottom Line: Mandalay Hotel is a great option for your first experience of Koh Phangan, for a quiet, romantic seaside getaway, with convenient transportation and a warm atmosphere. A place you'll want to return to not for the luxury, but for the experience 🌊✨ PS for the hotel: Pay attention to the mattresses—they start to creak—as well as the pillows. Pay a little attention to these, and your sleep quality and overall stay will be even better.
