Our first impression was not very positive, as the surroundings looked quite untidy and poorly maintained. The room itself was very basic, although the air conditioning worked well, which was appreciated in the heat. However, the wooden flooring had many gaps, which allowed mosquitoes and insects to enter the room. A few more hooks inside the cabin would also be very helpful so guests have somewhere to hang clothes and wet towels.
Unfortunately, you cannot swim in the ocean directly in front of the cabins due to the presence of box jellyfish, which are extremely dangerous. The beach in front of the property was also not maintained and was covered in seaweed and debris. While this may not necessarily be the hotel’s responsibility, it still affects the overall experience of staying there. Privacy was another issue. The walls are very thin, so if you happen to have noisy or inconsiderate neighbours, you will hear everything..
There were also some maintenance problems. The toilet roll holder fell off as soon as we tried to use it, and the bathroom ceiling had gaps, meaning the door needs to remain closed constantly to prevent mosquitoes from coming in.
The bed itself was comfortable, although the pillows were very large and quite hard.
Overall, we unfortunately didn’t enjoy our stay and would not choose to stay here again. For what is offered, it feels a bit overpriced for a very basic room with minimal amenities.
