Sawasdee Coco Resort

Rooms really clean, mood and vibes are really nice. And the breakfast are really lovely.

We came out to this resort as a recommendation. We arrived and there was a major concert stage set up on the beach that went on until almost 2am. We were not informed about this concert until a week and half before our visit with no option to cancel. The room we had was not as pictured and the linens were torn and had stains on them. The shower had to curtain cover so when you shower water got EVERYWHERE. this became a safety hazard because I nearly slipped in there. The power outlet was falling off the wall and your plugs kept falling out. There is absolutely no room for luggage so you can't unpack. This was what trip.com identified as their "family room". The lockpad is what you use to lock your door! The safe is really small. The trash is what we got to see in the morning outside our room's patio. We complained and requested for a different room,but they wanted to charge us more money. We refused and so rather then give us a new room they refunded us the 2 nights we did not use. Even though we should've gotten the total refund since we didn't any sleep from the concert at all our first night. Spent the 2nd morning looking everywhere for a new hotel at the last minute to move our family and kids to a different resort. It was a nightmare. I would not recommend this place and don't trust the photos. The best part of the island was the sand. Other then that I wouldn't return to Koh Somet.

The hotel has an excellent location, but the room is far too small for a family with two young children. There is no wardrobe and very little storage space for clothes and personal belongings for four people. The area in front of the mirror is already occupied by the minibar, safe, kettle, and glassware, leaving virtually no space for guests' own items. We struggled to find room even for basic necessities such as sunscreen and toiletries. While the location is a major advantage, the room size and lack of storage made our stay quite uncomfortable.

We booked what the resort called a "Family Room". Unless your family is not carrying any luggage, you could be ok with this "Family Room". There are no space for your luggage. The bathroom is a real Thai style where water goes everywhere when you show. The bed sheet has holes in them. The power outlet were loose. I have video if anyone like to see the room.

Lovely resort and the rooms are so aesthetically beautiful, the resort is located in main beach, Sai Kaew beach and so convenient that 7-eleven and restaurants are in walking distance. Also very near to Nadan pier as well. Have to give additional 200 bahts if you use bath tap. Overall, good stay here.
