The Samui Beach Resort

The Buffet Breakfast starts at 8:30am. Keep in mind if you are doing day trips to island hop and snorkel etc these often pick you up between 7-8am, resulting in you missing out on the buffet Breakfast. The housekeeping multiple times over the course of nearly a week did not clean the room  on multiple occasions and had to be reminded. Often when cleaned they would forget to replace the towels or toiletries. Do not book this hotel for the beach. At no fault of the hotel, when we visited the whole time there was essentially no beach due to lack of sand between the wall of the hotel and the surf.  I am unsure if this is a year long phenomenon or  only temporary. In my experience the waves would crash right up to the boundary wall of the hotel and the surf was rough. Did not enter the sea as a result, as we feared the waves would crush us against the boundary wall breaking our necks. The pool looks amazing in the photos. Please keep in mind there are no beach chairs along the sides of the pool to relax on. All the chairs are actually the Terrances of the villas on the ground floor. Meaning, if you have a 66% of having a room on the second or third floor then you will not have a beach chair on the side of the pool to relax at. If you wish to stay in Chaweng Beach it would be more convenient  to stay closer to the central mall. The reason being is this is where all the night markets with the street food, shopping opportunities and restaurants are at. The walk from the hotel to here takes about 40 minutes and is slow and painful due to the awful state of the footpath on the street, often resulting in needing to walk on the road  The walls of the hotel are paper thin. I could hear the alarms on the phones of the guests staying in the rooms on both sides left and right. The room was dark and had inadequate lighting which was frustrating. I only booked this hotel because of the pool. In hindsight the pool does not outweigh all the negatives. It is a very expensive option for Thailand and the service does match the cost on my opinion. I would advise people to read reviews on multiple platforms prior to booking to get a more accurate picture.

It was ok, room was clean and that was all we needed. Beach right in Chaweng... but breakfast is really not ok :) Better to go outside of hotel.
