What I liked: 1) The room view and its size (but we paid a significant amount extra for it, because the initial room was impossible to sleep in - more on that below) 2) Quick problem resolution by staff 3) Daily, high-quality cleaning 4) Huge, comfortable bed, good pillows 5) Quiet in the new building, comfortable for sleeping What I didn't like: 1) Initially, we had booked a deluxe room with a garden view. Upon check-in, we were extremely tired after three flights and almost immediately fell asleep. We woke up at midnight to some wild noises (which turned out to be frogs) that didn't stop, and it was impossible to sleep. The old door had a huge gap, through which the sound barely diminished, as if we were sleeping outdoors. We had to urgently request a room change. Ultimately, they promptly provided us with a replacement in the new building, which was 1.5 times larger in area and 1.5 times more expensive, so we had to pay a significant amount extra, but it was worth it. 2) The breakfasts were terrible - stale bread and overripe fruit; the chef's eggs Benedict were mediocre. In the end, we went elsewhere for breakfast. 3) The air conditioning was very loud, making it impossible to sleep with it on, so we ended up sleeping without it.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Worst hotel experience of my life I rarely write reviews, but future guests deserve to know what happened during our stay. My daughter and I arrived late in the evening after a long and exhausting journey from Vietnam. We were tired, jet-lagged and looking forward to a relaxing stay. Instead, within a few hours we found ourselves leaving the hotel in the middle of the night. The problems started almost immediately. During normal use of the shower, the bathroom flooded due to a blocked drain. Water spread across the entire bathroom floor and some of our belongings became wet. Rather than immediately moving us to another room, two male employees came to our room late at night to deal with the blockage. As two women travelling alone, having two unfamiliar men in our room late at night already made us feel uncomfortable. What shocked me most was that after attempting a repair, staff were prepared to leave us with a soaking wet bathroom. We were told housekeeping would deal with it in the morning. After a long journey, we simply wanted to shower, get ready for bed and use a clean, dry bathroom. Only after I complained did a member of staff partially dry the floor, leaving a soaking wet towel behind. I still do not understand why another room was not offered immediately. Unfortunately, things became even worse. After being told the problem had been fixed, my daughter tried to shower again. The bathroom flooded for a second time. While water was still present, the power suddenly went out and the room was plunged into complete darkness. My daughter fell while trying to get out of the bathroom. The panic and fear we experienced at that moment were real. We were standing in a flooded bathroom in complete darkness, unsure what had happened. I immediately contacted Trip.com and reported the flooding, the blackout, my daughter's fall and our fear while the incident was actually happening. We were then moved to another room, where we found insects and signs that raised serious concerns about possible bedbug activity. At that point, any confidence we had left in the hotel was completely gone. The hotel later referred to these room changes as "upgrades." An upgrade does not erase flooding, power failures, injuries, panic or hygiene concerns. The most disappointing part came afterwards. Instead of showing genuine concern, the hotel repeatedly attempted to dismiss our experience and suggested there was no proof of what happened. This is despite the existence of Trip.com chat records created during the incident, medical documentation confirming my daughter's injuries and the hotel's own acknowledgement that there had been drainage complaints, a power outage, multiple room changes and a reported fall. No reasonable person abandons a prepaid holiday in the middle of the night, spends hours contacting airlines, insurers and booking platforms, pays for alternative accommodation and ultimately flies home early over a minor inconvenience. This holiday was supposed to celebrate my daughter's examination success. Instead, it ended with injuries, panic attacks, additional expenses and an early return to the Netherlands. I genuinely do not understand how this hotel maintains such high ratings based on the experience we had. My advice to future guests: inspect your room carefully, check the bed thoroughly before unpacking and do not assume that a room is free from insects simply because it appears clean at first glance. For us, this was not just disappointing. It was frightening, stressful and completely unacceptable.

An excellent hotel offering supreme comfort and relaxation. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped. The delicious breakfast with a wonderful sea view is particularly noteworthy.

The hotel was excellent We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. It is absolutely perfect for families. The kids’ playrooms are thoughtfully designed with so many options for all ages, which made our children incredibly happy and engaged throughout the stay. The spa area and sauna are outstanding, beautifully maintained and deeply relaxing. Even though there was a huge conference taking place during our visit, everything felt perfectly organized and calm. The level of management was truly impressive. A very special thank you to Boss Concierge, who went above and beyond for us. He helped us retrieve a forgotten bag with such efficiency and genuine care. What could have been a stressful situation was handled smoothly and professionally, and we felt completely supported throughout. The entire staff was kind, attentive, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly taken care of. Highly recommended. We will absolutely return

The rooms are quite clean and the beach is beautiful.

During the Chinese New Year, hotel prices were outrageous. I unexpectedly booked this hotel, which had very few Chinese guests, and the price was very reasonable. To my surprise, the rooms were quite good, spacious, and both rooms had small balconies. The hotel environment was also nice, with two swimming pools, one by the sea and one outside the villas. The rooms were generally clean, but the air conditioning hadn't been cleaned in a long time; you could see a layer of dust in the vents. The hotel breakfast was a bit disappointing, with not much choice or variety, and no kids' meals, which wasn't very friendly for picky eaters. The hotel is within walking distance of a local restaurant with good reviews (recommended on Xiaohongshu for beautiful sunset views). Although most staff didn't speak Chinese, they were very enthusiastic. Except for one male front desk staff member wearing glasses. When checking in, I mentioned my early flight and was advised to pre-order a breakfast box the day before. However, this staff member kept trying to get me to book a car (a private van costs 700, the hotel charges 1000). I said three times that I wanted to order breakfast, but he acted as if he didn't hear me. It wasn't until I said I wasn't booking a car and just wanted breakfast that he told me to go eat at the restaurant myself! He had a disdainful attitude throughout. I've been to so many countries and so many hotels, and this is the first time I've encountered such terrible service.

Excellent boutique hotel in a quiet part of Lamai. There are two pools: one in the middle of the hotel, which is great for kids and includes a smaller baby pool, and another next to the beach and restaurant. The hotel has a relaxed, peaceful vibe, with large and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing stay.

It is a wedding hotel, not a relaxing boutique hotel as it is advertised. I stayed there for 8 nights, and on 5 of those nights there were weddings. They have one small beach and one big beach. Due to tidal conditions, only the small beach is usually usable. We were asked to move after 12:00 PM because of wedding preparations. The big beach is often not usable due to waves and tides, and you need to wait until 2:00 PM for the tide to change. In short, there was ongoing disturbance during the wedding days. Sometimes wedding cocktails take place in the dining area, which means it gets very loud. After complaining about this, the hotel management tried to compensate us with additional discounts. However, after traveling such a long distance, these discounts were meaningless. Make sure to check whether there are any weddings scheduled before making a reservation. The staff are very friendly, rooms are very clean and the food and beverages are reasonably priced.

Beautiful resort and excellent price.  Little confusion over spa treatments due to language barrier and to be honest, not the best massage.  I’m Also called reception for around 20 minutes at around 2am with no luck. Had it been an emergency I would have been stuck. Promised 24hr reception presence when we checked in.  Lovely staff and service.

I found many things to like about Rockys. Staff were unbelieveable lead by Ariance, they were super helpful and could not do enough for us. The food was amazing so well done to all staff at Rockys

Very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. The room is just amazing , with modern design Just the beach as everywhere on samui is quite rocky, not possible to swim

This is hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The professionalism and warmth of the staff truly stood out—they were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Due to a double booking issue, the hotel generously upgraded our room for free, which was a fantastic surprise. Honestly, I cannot think of a single downside to our stay. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

The staff were incredibly, incredibly, incredibly friendly, especially at the front desk. The hotel has a beautiful, large pool and a small, private beach section right on site. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. There's a super delicious breakfast buffet with a selection of fresh eggs made to order (my favorite: Eggs Benedict). A few more vegetarian options in the restaurant would be great though. Otherwise, it's a top hotel! :)
