Matcha Samui Resort

The hotel is wonderful, great location, beach, and grounds! The rooms are clean, and while the furniture is a bit dated, they have been renovated. Breakfasts are a little modest, but you won't go hungry! There's just one thing to note: this hotel has two buildings. The building by the pool and restaurant is the best, both in terms of grounds and room quality! If you get a room across the road, it's pretty awful. I didn't understand the bad reviews at first, but then when I went to see the rooms in the other building, I was truly horrified. The pool there is on the third floor and it's very dirty, and the rooms are really shabby, without a balcony or a view! So, be careful when booking! Otherwise, the hotel is actually not bad at all for a three-star!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days in a building with a lake view. The hotel's location is excellent, right on a lively street in the heart of Chaweng. Everything you need is nearby: a self-service laundry, small shops, a shopping mall, and scooter rentals. The main advantage is direct beach access. The beach is amazing with crystal clear water. Breakfasts are average, without much variety, but you won't go hungry. Housekeeping is good, and the rooms are clean. In the evenings, it can be a bit noisy due to the stadium on the other side of the lake, but it didn't bother us at all. Overall, I rate our stay here positively, and I would return to this hotel again. My suggestion for the hotel: I would add additional light-colored curtains because the window faces the street.

I really loved the location! It's right next to Central Samui shopping mall, which also has a night market, and there are tons of cafes and shops along the way. We walked down the beach to Ark Bar (about 10 minutes) to catch their fire show at 8 PM. The hotel itself is clean, and while the grounds are small, they're cozy and green with two pools. Housekeeping came every day, and they provided beach towels. There's even a small zoo with capybaras nearby. The beach is wonderful – during the summer there are morning low tides, but nothing too drastic. White sand, clear water, and swimming there was an absolute delight. We enjoyed everything! 👍

This is a superb hotel in Koh Samui, with direct beach access and a second, quiet building facing the lake. We stayed in a cozy, clean room across the road with a view of the lake, a beautiful tree, and squirrels. Various birds were in the tree outside our window. Along the lake, there were joggers and people walking their dogs. It was so peaceful and the view was tranquil. The window didn't open, but on the bright side, there were no mosquitoes. The hotel breakfasts were excellent. The most delightful part was that the breakfast staff, without any prompting, wished me a happy birthday and presented me with a mini-cake and a candle. It was a very thoughtful gesture. Housekeeping was good, and the linens were clean and fresh. The reception staff were always on duty and very helpful. The beach bar always had a good selection of food and drinks, served by positive staff. The hotel has its own sun loungers and umbrellas, and they weren't all occupied. The pools are great, both by the sea and in the second building. Thank you to the hotel for all their efforts!
