Living Chilled Koh Tao

I stayed with two friends, and the blanket in the room was very thin. We went down to ask for an extra blanket, and the host asked, "Why?" We replied, "Because it's cold." The host responded, "If you're cold, just adjust the air conditioner." It was a terrible experience.

overall was good but walls are abit thin able to hear people from next door.

Good location

this hotel isn't worth its price. if you want something comfortable, pick something else. the good: it is family run so the staff is helpful (late checkout), they speak a bit of english. The room is clean and overall it's acceptable. the bad: - i felt a total lack of security. The checkin is at the ground floor, then the rooms start from 1 to 4 floor. all floors are accessible by a staircase which is directly accessible to anyone from the main road. Basically there is no garden/private area, the checkin office and the staircase are simply on the road. There is no staff after 8pm and the hotel is situated a little in the back of the town. So basically anyone can walk up the stairs. Then the door locker is really bad, there is no second security lock (which most hotels have) so this is innaceptable due to the fact that the room door is basically accessible to anyone from outside. - the shower isn't great, the water is hot all day long (by sun) so no way to take a fresh shower at day. at night or early morning, the water is cold (or have to wait at least 5min to drain the water out) - the hotel is pretty basic. for the same price you can have a swimming pool in another hotel..

Our stay was ok but didn’t feel it was very good value for money. The location’s pretty good (few mins walk to everything). We weren’t very impressed with our room- there were a lot of ants and the double bed only had a single duvet cover laid horizontally to use as a cover. In addition, it wasn’t the hotel’s fault directly but there was a massive music festival happening whilst we were there and each night we felt like we were practically sleeping on the stage with the walls vibrating. We felt slightly deceived that there was no warning before or after booking considering the music went on until 2 or 3am every night. Overall, we’ve stayed at worse places but for the price you can definitely find somewhere better in Koh Tao.

Has a triple room. Beds were not the comfiest with no duvet and just a sheet. Water bottles provided. Lovely balcony. Location was okay 5 min walk to the main area. We were able to book taxi back to the ferry at the reception which was quick and easy.
