In Touch Resort

Great little hotel right on the main beach of Koh Tao. Our standard room was huge with lots of room to unpack which made our stay very comfortable.

Just arrived at Koh Tao and went for a walk and found In Touch Restaurant.Ordered the fried squid,friend prawns,mixed salad,beer and a cocktail 560bht.Well worth it.Squid was tender as were the prawns.Very clean restaurant and right on the beach.Lots of seating on the floor with bean bags etc or tables and chairs for oldies like us.Went to go back for dinner a couple of nights later but was packed out

Ate dinner tonight at Hacienda Grill at Hacienda Tres Rios at Playa del Carmen. Miguel was our waiter. Nothing could be better than the kind attention and concern for our enjoyment. Miguel was/is fantastic. Miguel arranged this special dinner for us because he was concerned our previous dinner didn't meet his standards. This on blew it out of the park.

I decided on In Touch based on the reviews, price and location. Taxi ride from ferry was about 5minutes (300 bhat). Check in was easy. We stayed in the Studio Balcony on the 3rd floor which was hard with carrying luggage without elevators, but they helped. One of the steps is uneven going up to 2nd floor. Room was very spacious with platform bed, benches around perimeter, large mini fridge with freezer, desk area and small eating area, along with a separate sum room and balcony with sea view. There was no dresser but plenty of counter and bench space to put things. The bed was on the firm/hard side but pillows were decent. Bathroom was spacious with double sinks and plenty of counter space. Shower pressure was very good but drainage system not so good, so water would back up into rest of bathroom if you took too long of a shower. Power would cut out whenever you left room with the key, but AC and fan worked well once you returned. Wifi worked well from our room. Location was great, with access to walking path along Sairee beach but on the edge so not too busy and loud. Good restaurant on site for any meal (7:30-10pm), as well as drinks. Pros: location, spacious room, good AC/fan, large mini fridge, cost Cons: no elevators, uneven step, poor shower drainage, resort grounds somewhat run down.

Super room with everything you need. Very confortable beds and really good AC. Balcony at our location had a small but nice view of ocean. If you are able to climb stairs take a high floor for the view. There are No elevators as far as I could tell. A Very secure location. All the area all around always felt very safe. Great restaurant right across the walkway. Trees in bloom, mango season, warm people, warm water, beautiful area.
