There are no desks in the rooms, so it may be inconvenient to work there. However, there are all the amenities so it is not a problem to stay there. Also, there is a large public bath, so there is no need to prepare a bath in the room. I think the best thing about this hotel is the customer service. They were kind and helpful with various issues, and the mascot cat was very friendly and very relaxing. The price is also low, so I think it is a very good hotel.

This hotel is a two-story business hotel that is rare in Japan. I don't know if it's a new one or a new one, but it's a hotel that doesn't have to be there. Therefore, it is rare for Hijo that there is no elevator. 1F is a normal business hotel because the parking lot is in front of you, but when you open the light shielding curtain, you can see it completely. Free coffee, free breakfast, and free WOWOW are the highlights of the route inn, but breakfast is of high quality for free, and there is no problem with business use or economy trips. It's a short walk from the station, but there are countless places to eat if you use a car, and there are many specialties such as sauce cutlet, romen and ina, and it's about 20 minutes by car to Takato, which is famous by the side. We found this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay close to the mountains and the hiking trails along Old Nakasendo, such as Magome to Tsumago and the Torii pass. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from Kiso-Fukushima station (where all local and express trains stop). The complimentary hotel shuttle bus made it easy to get to the station in the morning and back to the hotel in the afternoon. If you already have your hiking boots on, it is also possible to walk to the hotel via a beautiful scenic road from the local train station Harano in around 60 minutes. The hotel staff was great, very friendly, and doing everything to make our stay comfortable despite not everyone being fluent in English. For example, on our way to the station the shuttle bus driver noticed that there was a youth sumo wrestling competition held in a large tent along the road, and stopped for a few minutes to give us a chance to enjoy it.

When I stayed for the second time, it was a Saturday, so when I went to the dining room, the fried food (fried fish on this day) was already on the table, and it was still a little warm, but it was getting cold. . We got to our seats about 5 minutes before the start of the meal, so if we had sat down on time, we would have been cold. This is a scene that unfolds as a matter of course at a common reasonable ryokan. No matter how low the price, I don't think anyone would be happy to eat cold fried food. Even if you don't force yourself to serve fried food, even if it's simmered or cooked in a hot pot, I'd like you to serve hot food warm. There is a microwave that you can use yourself, so you can warm it up a little, but the fish fry had tartar sauce on it, so I just ate it. For breakfast, cold grilled salmon and a bite omelet came out, so I chinned them in the microwave. After all, it was delicious when warmed up. one more. Even if I wanted to stay, there were only smoking rooms available, so I gave up several times. There is also a smoking room on the 1st floor, and an ashtray is installed outside, so please make all rooms non-smoking. In any case, it is my favorite inn, so I would like to stay again.

The traditional ryokan was very charming and perfectly alluring. The decor of traditional artifacts of the Edo period gave a pleasant insights to a former opulence. The inside and outside onsens were clean with a clear zen and ambiance. How I love the traditional kimono-styled house clothes offering a comfortable restorative relaxing dress code.

I didn't go to the public bath after all. I think it would be better to book an annex if you want to enter the public bath. The hardness of the bed was just good and comfortable.
