Mercure Kota Kinabalu City Centre

The location is superb, very close to the jetty and just across the street from Centre Point Sabah. Gaya Street is right outside the door. I especially recommend the infinity pool on the rooftop. Although there's a slight obstruction, the view is unbeatable. I went there every day, and the scenery, both day and night, had its own distinct charm, offering a unique experience each time.

The room was very spacious, perfect for our family of three adults and one child in the two-bedroom suite. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a five to six-minute walk to Suria Sabah and Jesselton Point. Housekeeping cleaned daily, and the service was good. The only issues were that the shower door didn't close properly, so water always leaked onto the floor after showering. Also, the sofa had a lot of stains that looked like they couldn't be cleaned anymore. Another downside was the breakfast quality; if you went late, there was hardly anything left, and they didn't replenish the food. Overall, it's still decent value for money.

The room is tiny, the environment is poor, and the hygiene is terrible!!! Check-in isn't until 3 PM, but check-out is at 11 AM!!! Besides being next to Gaya Street and convenient for the jetty, there's absolutely nothing good about this place!!

The three-bedroom, one-living room layout is perfect for family trips. Waking up to the beautiful harbor view from the hotel window in the morning is just lovely! 😻 It's also very close to the city center, making shopping and dining convenient. This hotel is ideal as a stopover between the city and the airport.

We booked a two-bedroom suite with two bathrooms, which was perfect for our family of four. The decor felt a bit dated, but the breakfast was incredibly rich and offered many local specialties. My son went to the rooftop pool every day, and we could also enjoy the beautiful sunset from there. The hotel is very close to Gaya Street, making dining incredibly convenient. We even caught the Friday night market and bought lots of food to share back at the hotel. Overall, we were very satisfied; it's ideal for families.

The location is excellent, and the service attitude is great. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old, but the front desk is very quick to resolve any issues. However, since it's abroad, they weren't able to help with any cancellation or modification problems.

It's super convenient for watching one of the world's top 3 sunset views. Dining options nearby are plentiful, and it's also close to the shopping district, right in the city center.
