Gaya Centre Hotel
"It was a pleasant stay. Check-in is usually around 2-3 PM but they will inform you by phone if the room is ready before the check-in time, so we managed to check in at around 12:30 PM. The hotel is near the mall, Gaya Street, Todak Landmark and the night hawker stalls. The room interior is quite old but we had no issues with it. They provide luggage storage. They also provide a small fridge, hair dryer and iron. And their hospitality is top-notch! All the staff were friendly and very helpful."
Homi Breeze at Sutera Avenue
"The room is big and clean, with free washing and drying machine provided. Convenience store can be found downstairs, while a big shopping mall is located with a 5 mins walk as well. Provided a convenient and comfortable stay."
Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu
"The location is convenient, just about a 5-minute walk to Gaya Street. Downstairs there's a fish market where you can buy seafood. The room has a washing machine, cooking facilities, and a microwave, so you can cook. The sea view from the room is great, but there's a bit of traffic noise at night."
Ming Garden Hotel
"Room is large n clean."

Casuarina Hotel
"The place is wonderful, my view in the morning from a lovely balcony is impossible to capture in a photo, the smell of a sea breeze and the sounds of birds everywhere. The rooms are very clean and beautiful, they capture the esthetics of the Kota Kinabalu. It is a minute away from the beautiful and vast beach, it is absolutely an underrated place. The staff is great, they have let me check in early, and also, there’s a luggage storage, so I was able to just bring a backpack to my outing trip for couple of days. Also, it is near the airport, which is a plus if you plan on traveling further in Sabah by local flights. Thank you very much for being a good host, O will choose this place again for sure! ☀️"
The Aru Hotel, Aru Suites by Ayuhouz
"No complain. Everything just so perfect for me"
Space Cap Hotel
"Great value for money! 👍"
Jesselton Quay Premier Suites Kota Kinabalu
"Very comfortable, clean, and the staff are super helpful. If you want your deposit back quickly, you can just pay cash at the reception. This place is perfect for small families; there are shops right downstairs for essentials. Will definitely stay here again!"
Sheraton Kota Kinabalu
"One of the standout features of this hotel is the efficiency of the staff. The check-in and check-out processes were super fast, which is always appreciated after a long day of travel. Additionally, the hotel provides free parking, a major plus for those of us driving in KK where parking can often be a challenge. The accommodations were excellent. Both the room and the toilet were spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. I also appreciated that they were generous with essentials—there was sufficient drinking water provided, so I never felt the need to constantly request more. Breakfast at the hotel was a pleasant experience. While the quality of the food was nice, I did find the variety a bit limited and hope they can provide more choices in the future to keep the buffet exciting. However, the absolute highlight of the morning was the fresh juice station. It is easily the best part of the breakfast service; you can request specific fruits, and the staff prepares the juice freshly for you right on the spot. It’s a personalized touch that really elevates the meal."
Jesselton Quay by Queenie
"Cleanliness: Very clean, felt very homey. Amenities: I cooked noodles from the supermarket using an induction cooker and a pot. I could see traces of cooking rice in the pot, and there was a clean but worn-out rag – it really had a homey feel, just like being at home. Environment: Very close to the port, although the angle is a bit off, you can see the sunset from the sofa in the room. Service: Very friendly, contact and response were prompt."
Hilton Kota Kinabalu
"The Hilton Hotel is excellent! Highly recommended. There's a 100 MYR deposit, and daily housekeeping is provided. It's very affordable if you visit during the off-season. Hope you all enjoy your stay!"
Hyatt Regency Kinabalu
"I had a pleasant stay at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient for exploring Kota Kinabalu. I would like to especially commend the Doorman, who were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made a positive impression. However, I believe the front desk team could benefit from additional training to further improve their customer service and communication skills. With some improvement in this area, the overall guest experience would be even better. Thank you for the hospitality, and I look forward to staying again in the future."
Ming SCSP ZacoSuites @ Kota Kinabalu City Centre
"Sangat recommended. Host pun okay and friendly. Paling fast respon. Next time mau stay lagi."
South China Sea Place Suites by Kinabina Homestay
"I really enjoyed my stay in this apartment complex. The apartment was cozy and spacious with a wonderful view. The furniture and plumbing were in excellent condition. The host was very responsive, and the self-check-in process was quick and convenient. The property is conveniently located across the street from a large shopping complex and a bus terminal, just a block from the embankment, and only a 7-minute drive from the main port. The only downside is that there's only one working elevator in the building, which often has a long wait, as there are many apartments on each floor and a pool on the fourth floor that's constantly in use. Some might also be bothered by the noise from the highway through the windows, but we didn't really notice it."
Deco Home @ Aru Suites
"near the tg aru beach, can walk and many food stalls downstairs"
The Klagan @ Riverson Hotel
"Overall everything is perfect, in terms of location you have to walk about 300m to imago mall which is really nice. Selesa, aircond sejuk.. 👍⭐ PS: please change your tv to smart tv so that guests don't get bored in the room."
