Sand Sea Resort Railay Krabi Reviews

The resort is strategically located across East and West Railay beach and 1-minute walking distance to the pier. Staff are all accommodating. I cannot fault anything with the service and hospitality probably the best this resort could offer. There is also a hotel transfer to/from airport for a fee (1,800 THB per way) which was very convenient. Facilities are okay and good enough. Food is okay but we opted to eat out at nearby restaurants.

One night stay to end our holiday before heading home and this is a little gem of a place, on the beautiful Railay beach, definitely did not disappoint!  With access to East and West Railay it had both sides covered and the Bungalow was perfectly appointed, clean and as advertised.  Out and about after the day trippers have left is a lovely atmosphere and would recommend without fail and wish we had stayed for 2 nights and not just the one!  Thank you all that made the stay a great end to our break.

Hotel is right on the beautiful railway beach. Staff is great. Note that they don't serve alcohol, so you will need to go somewhere else for drinks.

The location is excellent. It is seafront on both sides. This is a sprawling resort with different types of rooms, ranging from chalets to villas. There are three pools and a restaurant. The reception staff is welcoming and hospitable. The restaurant staff are helpful and the breakfast spread is good. It also changes daily. Vegetarian options are available. The rooms are well appointed.

Beautiful resort. Beautiful settings. Comfortable clean rooms. Attentive service and non intrusive. Very relaxing. Good selection at breakfast.

Nice Hotel albeit a little dated. Staff in hotel were very helpful and friendly. Not much room at pool if arriving after 9am. We didn’t get a pool or beach sun lounger as all were taken very early in morning. Breakfast was adequate and not very gluten free friendly options. For price I have had better in Thailand but this was a very popular destination so quite crowded especially in day with day visitors

The hotel's proximity to the beach was excellent. The pool and rooms were clean, and the price was satisfactory. However, the weather was rainy, so I couldn't enjoy it.

Our stay was wonderful! The location was perfect, offering stunning views that made every moment memorable. The only minor downside was the mosquitoes—but that’s to be expected in such a scenic, natural setting. Overall, a fantastic experience that we’d recommend.

Great location. Right next to the beach with many activities. The only sad part was the amount jelly fish. Apart from that, the service was good. Be aware of taxi boats, in Krabi, they are looking to rip of their customers. Out of 5 destinations visited, Krabi was the worst for long tail boat rip taxi rip offs.

We loved everything about this resort, but the fantastic service was the highlight. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. We will definitely be back!

A comfortable place to stay in Railay. Centrally located. Nice staffs. Breakfast can be improved.

Nice hotel, Beautiful beach, delicious food, the staff does their job very well, everyone is very friendly. The area is beautiful, the environment and fauna are impressive. This place is worth visiting. Clean rooms, good cleaning. 3 great swimming pools and a large area. Also the restaurant has a beautiful view of the sea. I would like to mention the work of Bell Man Chotipun R. He was always very helpful, smiling, a friendly guy. And guy Wichet, he kindly helped me after the boat, a lot of thanks for this. All the staff deserve respect and are very professional do there job For new people, who don’t know the location of the hotel. I can advise to get to the hotel, especially if you have heavy luggages, it is better to join the shuttle boat which provide hotel. Or if you get there in the evening after 18:30, order a private boat from the hotel if you want to save time. When I arrived, late in the evening, I was given a room with a not very good view, on the villas which are fenced off with black tape, and there were processing renovation. I request for a change of room, the staff at the reception kindly changed my room, and gave me a room with a really great view. Gratefull thanks. Definitely I recommend visiting this hotel

Our cottage was newly renovated with a comfortable bed and good a/c. The resort is conveniently located close to the pier and close to the beach (but this is true for almost everything in Railay as it is quite small -- unless you are staying at one of the resorts that is at the far end). Breakfast was very good with even better views.
