Ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang

We decided to stay for one night in Krabi to break up the long drive to Khao Lak, as we wanted to visit the famous Jurassic World filming location nearby. The hotel is very close to Ao Nang Beach, located in an area with plenty of bars and a mosque right next door. We headed further out in the evening to catch the sunset, which was absolutely stunning. We checked in late in the evening. The next morning, my family went for an early walk on the beach, but I stayed in as I was feeling quite tired, having gone for a stroll on the sand the previous night. The room featured a small balcony with a lovely, natural view. However, the hotel is a bit dated, and the slippers provided weren't particularly clean. There was still sand on them. We decided to skip the hotel breakfast and grabbed a bite elsewhere instead. Although we chose this place because it’s a well known chain brand and we expected a higher standard of cleanliness, the reality was just average. Overall, it’s a perfectly fine choice for a short stopover. However, if you are planning a proper holiday here, I would recommend opting for a more upmarket hotel.

It was a great stay here as a couple traveling with a pet. The hotel offers good value for money and was very clean. This was our second time staying here, and we would definitely come back again.

I have stayed in this hotel and still staying now for 15 nights separated into two different bookings with a few days difference Elevators are very old and hot Only two tv channels works on the tv 15 sun beds by the pool and the hotel is 50 rooms a floor And yes there is space to add more sun beds Room is clean but the bathroom is not you can see and smell molds and obviously that the glass and mirrors haven’t been cleaned properly or they’re just too old If you want privacy forget about that as all rooms are sticking to each other with approximately 50 rooms in one floor Balconies are sticking to every other balcony so you have to put the curtains on at ALL times It always gets very noisy from some certain nationality at the hotel corridors with shouting and slamming doors at night House keeping staff were very excellent and helpful however the receptionist were not I haven’t had an encounter with them but they can at least smile and greet every customer not greet some and ignore the other like the customer does not exist Basically if you can add a few hundreds or tens in any currency US dollar , UK pounds , AED , SAR that will be very much better to avoid the headache and to stay in a normal room like most of the other hotels , as this hotel even though it’s an international chain but it’s designed to be for the super saver I guess as there is 50 rooms a floor and tiny rooms.

Facilities at this hotel were really good for the price and the views were also incredible from both the pool and the room. What stood out for us was the staff who went above and beyond for us. We left a phone at the hotel and the staff were quick to get in touch and arrange transportation to our next location, communication from them made this process quick and easy!

I was expecting more from ibis because of the brand, but overall the stay was disappointing. The price was very low, which is a positive, and the pool was nice with a good mountain view. There is also a shuttle to the beach, which helps because the beach is not inaccessible, but it is further than I would personally want to walk every day. However, the rooms were not particularly clean, and there was no proper in-room desk. The staff were also unhelpful and seemed a bit lazy. They did not want to provide a second key card, and I had to ask multiple staff members before finally being given one. Overall, it is cheap and has some positives, especially the pool view, but I think there are better hotels in this price range or slightly higher.

Mosquitoes in room despite asking hse keeping to spray. Pigeon waste on balcony never wipe or sweep? Otherwise staff and services good.

Room was not big and lightning was bad , breakfast was poor , only one kind of toast bread 🍞, no cheese .. one km far from Aonang beach but there was a shuttle it was good . Good and friendly staff. There was a good massage place at the pool , it was good
