As others have said this hotel is adequate. The exterior and lobby are nice but once you get inside you realize this is an old hotel with a paired down, apathetic staff. When we arrived the elevator wasn’t working. Ok, that happens but it was indicative of the hotel. The room was big and again very old. There was 1 nightstand and a handful of outlets to plug in devices near the closet and on the far wall (from the bed). We called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket and they just say, “no English”. Thankfully we had a guide, so we contacted him and he called the hotel and asked for us. Then we get a call in our room from the front desk and they said, “blanket ready” and hang up. We thought it was weird and went to the door thinking someone would be there with the blanket- but no. So again contacted our guide and asked him to ask them to bring it to our room. And a few minutes later they did. There was a bare bones staff and it seemed like they had 0 or very little training. The bath/shower is elevated so you have to take a really big step to get in/out. Thankfully there was hot water, and they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower cap, dental kits, q tips. Because of an early tour, we had to take a packed breakfast with us. That was only possible because we had a guide to communicate with them. They did a semi-good job with the breakfast- packed nicely but didn’t give us utensils. We stayed for two nights. If I ever go to Kratie again, I’d look for somewhere else but if I couldn’t find anything better, would stay again.

This hotel is lovely. If you've made it out to Kratie Town in Cambodia, then you're likely thrilled to stay in a hotel this nice. Nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. The views of the Mekong are incredible. If previous reviews leave you wondering why people are wandering the hotel in not but a towel when there's no pool, bear in mind there is a sauna.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. I stayed 3 nights and it was so lovely!!! Where to start - was in Kratie for a study tour. From the outside it looked promising, and I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely. The room was spotless - robes were comfy, towels fluffy. Had the best night's sleep on the uber comfy beds. Woke up and had a nice tea and a cig. Met a lovely guest who showed me where the sauna was and finished my stay with no complaints.

If I could give this a -5 I would. I stayed one night (out of intended 6) but left in the morning to stay at Le Tonle (so lovely!!!). Where to start - was in Kratie for work. From the outside it looked promising. That’s where it stopped. The staff are rude The room was pretty dirty - towels stained yellow. Robes in cupboard were yellow. I found dirty tissues under the bed. And piles of grime in the corners. A Valium enabled me to sleep - sort of. But the next day was the last straw. Guests were smoking in the interior stairwells and leaving the butts on the floor. (Yes there are no smoking signs everywhere but clearly no one cares). The safe didn’t work and they refused to fix it. The kettle didn’t work and again they refused to fix it. Staff were using the restaurant downstairs as a dormitory. Most disturbing of all was a man who wandered the floor aimlessly wrapped only in a towel. Note: there is no pool. To be honest it felt like a weird modern-day twist on The Shining. As there was virtually no one else staying there. And with good reason. As a woman on my own I felt incredibly unsafe. Truly - don’t stay here. Le Tonle is a delightful alternative.

I wasn’t blown away by the hotel but it wasn’t bad either. We had a nice view of the river from the balcony which was a bonus. The room was clean and it’s very central. Unfortunately we got woken up in the middle of the night by a very loud engine, presumably a boat. This happened on both nights we stayed there so we assume this is a regular thing. It’s not the fault of the hotel but it makes me think twice about staying on the front again. The pool doesn’t exist so don’t go looking for it! I was surprised when I read on the website that it was heated to 34 degrees.

Well, at least it’s clean. I’m guessing this characterless modern hotel was built for Chinese tour groups who can no longer come during the current travel restrictions. Our room was large enough but otherwise barely adequate.

I find the hotel mediocre. The rooms have just enough but the bathtub is not clean. There are water leaks from the ceiling in the room and in the hallways of the hotel. The breakfast is not great. We had reserved 3 rooms, at least two of which were on the same floor, but to get them we had to pay a bribe even though the hotel was not full at all. In short, I don't recommend it. There are much better guest houses

Good hotel for a stopover to see the dolphins. But no swimming pool. Few staff and random wifi especially in the rooms. However the rooms are not bad. But if you have a room at the back there is no balcony.
