Beautiful old school resort with a lovely lush garden and pool, although it looks a little bit unloved. The place is beautiful and so serene. The rooms are superb and very classy with lovely local touches. You will need to synchronise the passeur with tuk-tuks.

The location is indeed magnificent, nestled in lush greenery that gives the impression of a timeless place. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing we'll remember from this experience. The infinity pool is no longer functioning: it doesn't overflow, and the water was murky, a far cry from the showcased photos. The rooms, though tastefully decorated, are actually dark, dirty, and extremely uncomfortable. There's no air conditioning, only standing or ceiling fans that circulate stifling hot air with incessant noise, making sleep almost impossible. The mosquito nets are full of holes and completely useless against mosquitoes. The result: heat, noise, and bites all night long. We had booked two nights but chose to leave the establishment after the first night because the stay was so unpleasant. The management promised us a refund for the unused night, but despite several follow-ups, we are still waiting for that refund to this day. A splendid setting is not enough to compensate for such a lack of maintenance, comfort, and professionalism.

The resort is nested at the end of the island and surrounded by trees and bushes. Because of the heat and the lack of AC in the room we were not able to have a good rest during the night.

One of the best ways to experience real rural Cambodian life in luxury settings. The resort has a restaurant, swimming pool, and separate villas that are traditional Cambodian rural wooden homes (but with proper bathrooms and amazing antique interior decorative items). The restaurant has excellent Western and Asian food. Breakfast was nice (no buffet though...). Getting there by ferry could be an issue, but we did take the private boat/tuk-tuk arranged by the resort, which was easy. Also, clear instructions were provided for safe car parking near the ferry pier. Early morning walk to Mekong shore - sand dunes, Bicycle ride, and horse cart ride highly recommended. (Besides Kampi Dolfins, of course) Special thanks to Bong Ly Sokheng, front office manager. He was extremely helpfull and attentive to detail. As well as all other team members - at the resort everything was excellent, communication by phone could be improved though....

Lovely place and the staff are lovely and very helpful and welcoming. My only fault with the hotel was, No kettle to make a hot drink and no refrigerator in the room to keep drinks cold.

This hotel remains the best on the island for now. It is located in a magnificent wooded park where we fell asleep with the sounds of the night and woke up by the songs of birds, it was a joy. The room is a spacious villa and tastefully decorated in the Khmer style of flea market spirit. The swimming pool is very beautiful, the restaurant delicious and the staff totally adorable. That said, the room (the plumbing) would need small renovations to keep its charm. For the moment the location is unique but it risks quickly suffering the competition of small very pretty guesthouses where we eat deliciously well and where the atmosphere is more friendly and less hushed. A beautiful address but very expensive compared to the guesthouses around (we successively tested the two types of accommodation). To summarize, it is not a luxury hotel but more of a cottage, it remains the most comfortable address.

The resort is set in lovely lush gardens. The pool was nice but lack of sun parasols meant that a large area of the pool side couldn’t be used due to extreme heat and hot sun. The lodge itself was interesting and gave us a flavour of what it must be like to live in a typical Cambodian wooden house on stilts! It was not possible to have air conditioning in a structure like this so be aware it was exceptionally hot inside and overnight. The mattress was really hard not helping with getting any kind of a good nights sleep! The staff were friendly and helpful but as the hotel is isolated on an island, closing the restaurant at 9.00 meant there was little to do for the remainder of the evening. The food was good though especially the French crepes at breakfast.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our two week visit to Cambodia. That’s two nights too long. Although I understood that this so called resort was on an island, I did not realize its isolation. It is located some distance from the ferry landing with nothing nearby. We felt like prisoners. Unless you eat lunch or dinner on the mainland, you will have no choice but to eat at the on-site restaurant. I strong encourage that you bring some food from the mainland instead. The “resort” has clearly seen better days. The pathways have broken or loose stones, nails protruding through floor boards, the pool had a greenish tinge, the cushions were worn on the list goes on. Clearly, the pictures on the web site have either been doctored, or taken some time ago. On the sole positive note, I did enjoy the atmosphere of the surroundings. Since the “resort” is located in the countryside, to be fair, I found the slow pace relaxing after several days of hectic touring, and bikes were on offer if one wishes to explore the island. Staff was ill-trained to the point of being clueless and I often felt ignored. I had to approach staff to request a refill coffee or another drink, interrupting their cell phone calls. The food was not the best and we had our worst meal during our entire trip. Breakfast was included in the rate and a la carte. Clearly, some items were made in advance. We ordered pancakes one morning and they arrived within minutes. Cold! Probably straight from the fridge. We asked that they be warmed up, only to be met with a shrug and blank stare. Although I knew that only fans were provided in the rooms, the ceiling fan was not enough to cool the room, and the temperature was maintained at a steady 41C which made sleeping impossible. Additional floor fans would have been welcomed. The room was also very dark which is probably due to the architectural style of Khmer villas. I think this was probably a positive as we could not really determine its cleanliness, or lack of. I believe I found what were mouse droppings as well. We debated about leaving after our first night. I would have assigned a rating of 1, but increased my rating to 2 largely due to the beauty of the island. I highly recommend visiting the island but stay elsewhere, or visit only as a day tour. The rate we were charged was outrageous as we stayed at 5 star hotels which charged less. Please do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. I was disappointed with my stay and could not wait to leave.
