If you're looking for an affordable hotel for a staycation, this one’s worth considering. The room was clean and comfy, and the breakfast buffet was decent — good enough for me. Location-wise, it’s close to the Chow Kit Monorail station, so it’s easy to get around KL and the Klang Valley.
I stayed one night here at the South Tower, Queen room (technically for 2 pax) with breakfast included, and it only cost me RM141. The breakfast option is RM35 per person if you add it separately.
In the room, you’ll find a flat-screen TV, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, safe box, mini fridge, bottled water, kettle, and tea/coffee packs. The aircond worked well, though the hot shower took a while to heat up. Wi-Fi was free too.
In terms of comfort, the surroundings were clean. There’s also a rooftop pool and a café/bar with a nice view of KL’s skyline.
Other facilities include a surau (for both men and women), laundry area, meeting room, and more.
Outside the hotel, along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, there are plenty of food options — especially Indonesian, Indian/Pakistani, and others. Great alternatives if you want to eat out instead of dining at the hotel.

Location is very close to Monorail and LRT. And near pasar. Breakfast buffet is also good. Their rooftop has a view of Petronas, KL Tower and Merdeka.

Overall a decent stay, but the hotel needs renovation
I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman South and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is a bit dated — the rooms clearly show signs of wear and could definitely benefit from renovation.
However, the staff were kind and tried their best to provide good service. Every request we made was handled quickly and professionally. I asked for an adapter — they brought it promptly. I also requested an extra blanket since there was only one duvet on a double bed, which was uncomfortable for two people — and they brought it right away. Overall, the service was attentive and helpful.
There were a couple of downsides. First, the water takes a long time to heat up, and it runs extremely cold at first. Second, the soundproofing is quite poor — we could clearly hear our neighbors flushing the toilet, running water, and talking. This was a bit disturbing, especially at night.
The pool is clean and pleasant, but unfortunately, it only operates from 7 AM to 7 PM — exactly when most guests are out exploring Kuala Lumpur. It would’ve been nice to relax with a swim in the evening, but the pool closes too early.
In summary: good staff, decent location, and responsive service, but the hotel really needs renovation, better plumbing, and improved sound insulation. Fine for a short stay if you’re not too picky.

This is my first time staying here. I stay here from 11/6/25 to 12/6/25. The hotel is very nice. However, I have noticed that receptionists require some training to provide better customer service. Around 12:15, a lady called me and began talking rudely about my room check-out. I understand I should leave at 12 p.m. However, one of the receptionists informed me that I could stay in the room until 5 p.m. without incurring late check-out fees. That is the reason I did not go there. So, management, please train your employees. They don't know how to interact with their guests. I believe Hilton Garden Inn is a four-star hotel. Please do not sacrifice your service or the guest experience.

We paid for a city view, but were given the complete opposite. What is the point of paying extra when we cannot enjoy the view we were promised?
Upon arrival, there was no drinking water in the room. I tried calling the receptionist, but no one picked up. I had to go all the way down to the reception just to ask for water.
There was no spoon in the room—only a wooden stick, which is not appropriate.
The electric kettle was damaged and had an issue with the lid.
There was only one chair near the table, and that too was an office chair. We paid for a room that was supposed to have two chairs.
The TV did not work, which was extremely frustrating, especially after a long day when we just wanted to relax and watch something.
There was no bidet shower in the toilet—only a pipe, which was very inconvenient.
There was no mat in the bathroom.
The room was not clean as expected. There was visible dust near the bed and the carpet was very dirty.
We received only one small tube of toothpaste on the day of arrival. If it’s complimentary, it should be replenished daily.
The shower gel ran out by the second day, and we had to request more.
Overall, I am very disappointed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s hard to believe this is a Hilton property. At this rate, you can easily find much better hotels.

1) Strategically located, with great access to many makan places and shopping centres.
2) Check-in and checkout is swift and hassle-free. Security guard is friendly and helpful. Nice reception personnel Mr Paul and team with great smile. Jockey service was topnotch. Even top management welcome us with personalised messages from Zhi Qin and Aidil.
3) Really like the 25th floor rooftop with clean swimming pool and scenic view of our majestic Twin Tower.
