On the very first day, they gave us the most disgusting room they had. Never take rooms on the first or second floors if they offer you one; simply refuse them. Unfortunately, we didn't know that and agreed. The room was really small, everything inside was old and dilapidated, with stains on the bedspreads. The room was poorly cleaned. Water was leaking from every crack in the bathroom fixtures. Despite the "No Smoking" policy being posted everywhere, we woke up at 6 a.m. the next morning to a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and it felt like someone was smoking under the door or right in our room. The smell didn't go away until lunchtime. We eventually asked to be moved to another room because of the cigarette smell everywhere. There were cigarette bins even next to the elevator, and cigarettes were strewn everywhere in and around the hotel. The next room was better: cleaner and smoke-free. It was on the third floor. The room had a working TV, air conditioning, and a hairdryer. In the previous room, none of this worked. So, you can see that the good rooms start on the third floor. But what spoiled the impression, even in this clean room, was the road noise that was audible all night and into the morning. Earplugs didn't help. It's impossible to sleep here. You'll be tired, not rested. It's better to look for somewhere else. And the hotel should warn all guests that they and all other guests are mercilessly smoking cigarettes wherever they can. A one-night stay is recommended, if you enjoy smoking and don't mind cigarette smoke and road noise.
