The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur

I've stayed in quite a few hotels in KL, and this time I decided to check out the Ritz. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the room was completely odorless and very clean. However, the bathtub looked quite old, and there was some grime around the drain, so I didn't use it. They didn't provide a comb in the room, but you don't need to bring your own power strip. Everything else was fine; even though the toilet was an older model, it was spotless. The location is great and very convenient. It's just a short walk to Pavilion, much more convenient than EQ and Ruma, where I've stayed before. The executive room just has an extra walk-in closet; personally, I don't think it's much different from the standard room. The hotel sent chocolates, and later, a server brought a chocolate cake, which was also delicious! The front desk and butler service were both excellent! However, the doorman didn't help me with my luggage either when I arrived or when I left, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it's very good value for the price!

If I had to describe it in one word, it would be 'huge'! The three-bedroom suite is indeed very spacious. It has a kitchen with cutlery, but no pots and pans. The location is great, with a direct passage leading close to Pavilion. There are also some restaurants and supermarkets nearby. For groceries, remember to search for '99 Speedmart' as it's quite affordable. There's a Damascus restaurant nearby that comes highly recommended, serving Syrian cuisine.

It was my birthday during my stay, and after I left a note, the hotel staff helped decorate the room. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to Pavilion. The hotel's outdoor pool is very clean, and I had a comfortable stay.

The room was decent, a bit dated, but the Eggs Benedict at the lounge breakfast were delicious. The afternoon tea was just average. However, I found the lounge service to be quite poor, especially from some of the male staff members. They seemed to treat guests differently. I sat down for breakfast and wasn't given cutlery for five minutes until I had to ask for it myself. It was very disappointing, and I won't be choosing this hotel again.

Great location and spacious rooms! The kids loved it. We even ran into Vanness Wu on our second night.

The service was truly excellent, from the concierge to the front desk and the staff who showed us to our room. The room itself was a bit small but very clean. I thought the breakfast was decent. My only regret is that the pool at the spa was under maintenance, but everything else was satisfactory.
