Good location within walking distance to Waterfront. Nice hotel if you like heritage setup. Can hear concert noises from Waterfront during the night.

A charming hotel with a good location. It's moderately worn out: cracked plaster, cabinet handles falling off... The bedside lamps are a design masterpiece: they hang over the bed in such a way that if you turn them on, the light shines directly into your eyes. And if you're tall, watch your head. The hotel states in its rules that it doesn't accept small children – despite this, there's a bunch of joyfully screaming babies in the pool under the windows of the annex rooms. The public areas are excellent. They're interestingly designed and pleasant to be in. The girls at the front desk are sweet and friendly. Overall, it's not bad, but in this price range, there are more worthy hotels in the city.

Spacious in common area. Room n toilet are clean. Bring ear plugs as room is not soundproof. I got awoken by squeaking bed from other room next door, from conversation outside, from walking steps n room door closing. Swimming pool is my favorite spot n sitting in the open space chilling. Oh no tissue box in the room do bring your own. Simple breakfast of toast n cereal. Coffee, tea, milk available. You need to walk flights of steps w no elevator so dont take too heavy luggage.

This hotel has a unique charm, as it's a converted school. You can still find old typewriters, tape recorders, and TVs displayed inside. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and while the room facilities are basic, they're perfectly adequate for a comfortable stay, apart from the lack of soundproofing. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Every morning, they offer coffee or tea, juice, milk, and bread, and there's a small pool perfect for a dip. The hotel's location is excellent, with a Chinatown nearby for exploring and the Riverside Park also close by, offering great scenery and a popular spot for nighttime jogging.

The stay was pleasent and convenient. Room is dated but comfortable and basic. Lite breakfast is welcoming. The location of this stay is strategic with easy access to famous spots and restaurants. One thing I don't like is the room only comes with one access card. This is inconvenient as we need to adjust our schedule based on this limitation.

The front desk service was incredibly rigid and inflexible, which was a huge minus. I extended my stay, and they didn't restock the water in my room. When I asked at the front desk, they said it was because I had a 'Do Not Disturb' sign up, so they didn't bring water. But the whole point of me asking is that I *want* water now! They just stuck to their rigid policy, it was unbelievable. Also, the breakfast was extremely basic, the most meager buffet breakfast I've ever encountered. I'm checking out tomorrow and moving to a different hotel. This place is just ridiculous.

The room is large but very basic, which is acceptable given the price and location. However, wifi is non-existent in the room I am staying in and even after feedback, nothing has been done. In addition, the towels provided have dark spots in them and look well used.

I arrived in a downpour and it was clear reception was not interested whatsoever in showing me to my room. It was dark and there were tons of stairs and a gate and more stairs on this sprawling property so I was literally stumbling in the dark and rain heaving luggage up stairs and more stairs until I finally located my room, which was quite lovely. Breakfast would have been OK--just toast, which is fine--but the butter tasted rancid, the jam looked strange. I didn't have the peanut butter. There's a large water jug for refilling your bottle with filtered water, which is a bonus. Pool itself is nice, but loungers are wooden and there are no pillows or cushioning, or umbrellas or any kind of shade; that could be improved. Overall, it's a really lovely little manor house steeped in character and history.

Not friendly for breastfeeding mother. No fridge in the room and I asked their kantin help to keep my milk in the freezer.. ( I did place the ice packs and milk in a plastic bag) and on the day I checkout I took it from them , my ice packs and milk are not freezing.. Somemore it’s so dirty and I don’t know what is the things that spilled out in my plastic bag.

A quirky hotel in a great location. Breakfast not great but can't complain as free.
